Hey, wondering what the community thinks about a salamanders supplement. What do you think will be in it? Rule changes? What would you like to see?

Love to see some Salamander heroes and more importantly some additional relics. I think it would be cool to have 'Special Characters' that were vehicles. Like, a Land Speeder called the Godhammer that came with lascannons or somesuch.
That being said, I PLAY Salamanders, and don't want this. Between Forgeworld and the main codex, we have enough, and I don't want to have to drop another fifty bucks just to keep playing my army.

I play Salamanders too.
there is no 'requirement' to switch over to a suppliment to play, its just a nice thing to have in addition.
alot of the FW stuff is non usable including the really cool dreadnought character whome I have yet to build (he's a painting project that I'm practicing for).
I'd persoanlly like to see it, it would give alot more toys to play with and would be a fun addtion to the main book.

A Salamanders Supplement would be written by Mat Ward.
Quotations from Salamanders battle-brothers will be written in the tone of a stereotypical angry black man. It will be repeated that the Salamanders neglect the maintenance of their wargear in order to prosecute their battles faster. All the named character will have "Fire," "Flame," "Stone," and/or "Black" in their names. The "Notable Battles of the Salamanders" are a streak of Pyrrhic victories, with at least one describing the damage to the Chapter as "nearly as devastating as the Drop Site Massacre." Asdrubael Vect leads a Dark Eldar raid on Nocturne, devastating the Chapter almost as badly as the Drop Site Massacre. The Sisters of Battle will be brutally slaughtered in every joint operation (at least one by the hands of the Salamanders themselves).
There you go. Hope you liked it. :p

That's less Mat Ward and more Phil Kelly.

Actually, Ward did write a pretty good piece of fluff where the two team up. It has them merrily spamming their flame weapons together before fighting a Chaotic horde back to back. He seems to understand that they make a cool team.
And, really, the idea that Ward gleefully writes about the SoB getting slaughtered whenever he can is pretty much just internet hyperbole. He actually wrote the fluff for the 5e SoB codex, and it was all decent to good stuff. Outside of one pretty iffy pice of fluff, the guy's been allright to the Sisters.
