I come to you today to ask if anybody else has played this game "The Resistance" I picked it up off of a reccomendation from a board game podcast i listen to.
So anyways i played it last night with a bunch of friends and had a blast, I was worried if they would enjoy it or not because not all are into board games.
But it was a HUGE hit.
So basically im just asking if anyones heard of it and has had good experinces with it as well.
Also i got 2 cards Merlin and Assassin. Theres no rules for them that i can find what do they do?
You can watch it played on tabletop with Will Wheaton.
"By this point I'm convinced 100% that every single race in the 40k universe have somehow tapped into the ork ability to just have their tech work because they think it should."
I played it with Vitruvian, Purplefood, Soladrin, Corpsesarefun and Avatar this year.
It's a really fun game.
In the same vein... Lifeboat is an amazing game.

Here you go...
The best way to describe it is, Fantasy Flights Battlestar Galactica game without all the faffing around and it only taking 20 to 30 minutes instead of 30 million hours (slight exaggeration). You might also know it as 'Avalon' which is the same game, but different artwork and different expansion rules. Avalon has alternate expanded characters that do stuff, while Resistance has an extra card deck that modifies how mission voting works.
But, I genuinely have taught a 6 year old how to play it. I take it to my club nights fairly often as there's quite often some dead time while people wait around for their opponents to turn up at the start of the night.
Only downside is the 5 player minimum.

My gaming group has played it - and loved it - as well!
It is a pretty quick game, so you can play a few rounds in between 'heavier' fare.
If you like this game, you should also check out "Werewolves of Millers Hollow", for a similar game with a bit more variety and some interesting twists.
From what I've played the base game mechanics are a little bland. It relies heavily on player interactions, which, if people aren't up to it, makes the game a little repetitive. Perhaps my experience of the game was hampered a little due to playing Monopoly (which is dull as gak) on the same night and the other players not being too much into roleplaying/ theatrics /not drunk. =P
