Hey all! I have a Necron monolith in my possession, and rather than selling it, I would like to convert it.
While the obvious choice is "Orky floaty shooty fingummajig wiv da mek's kno-wotz", I feel I could do better...

I currently play CSM, but I'll be moving into IG, Daemons and be getting an INQ model (so I can team up with my SM friend in pick-up games). I'm hoping that I'll be able to cobble together an idea that will allow me to use the monolith with one or more of these armies (so it'll need to be either a legal model or a piece of terrain).

The ideas I have had thus far are:

-Tribute to Khorne (Bodies, blood, gunstacks)
-Tribute to Nurgle (Bodies, blood, decay)
-Some kind of Apoc unit (I have no idea what)

Sadly, none of the above get me any closer to actually getting it onto the battlefield...

So. The question is, do any of you have an idea for me?

Inside your mind, corrupting the pathways

Convert it into a bastion - a kind of floating Chaos fortress.

Intriguing...
I'd have to be inventive with how it works in-game, if at all.
But that is an interesting idea...

Check out the battlefleet gothic black stone fortress (no idea if that's the right name so long since I played it) for inspiration

Now I feel like trying to make the monolith into a warp gate construct with battlements coming off it....

Sadly, I have no battlements.

I'm not sure I've got enough sprue stocked, and I don't have plasticard. I do, however, have cereal boxes, spare time, and nothing better to do...
