Tie Advanced and (I assume) Y Wings are a lot easier to got hold of in the UK now, just bagged a T-A from Trolltrader yesterday, but they're in stock quite a few places now.
The Interceptor problem won't go away for a while, as I assume all have gone into the IA box, and only now will they start producing regular boosters again.

As others have said - beware of market place traders on Amazon. Some are good, some take forever and some cancel the transaction.

No problem, they're one of my preferred indys too, and almost count as supporting my FLGS, as the only one much nearer is still 50 miles away and doesn't do mail order.

Walked into my FLGS the other day and they had TIE Bombers, X Wings, and TIE's back in stock.
Couldn't afford all 3 so I picked up the TIE for the extra characters. Hoping to get to go back soon for the X Wing and TIE Bomber blister.
The targets in my area never got the starter set on sale unfortunately. Would have loved some cheap dice and ships.

I'm in the south east and having the exact same problems. I rushed to grab x-wings and ties when my local flgs restocked but now I am stuck for y-wings mostly. Not paying the stupid prices online.
Waiting on a big UK restock.

I wonder how the overall sales for xwing are in the UK compared to the US, fully understand the US is a larger market and as such would have higher overall sales but when you account for market size wonder how the two compare. Just trying to figure out why the UK is having far more stock issues then the US seems to.

They just haven't worked out the supply demand yet, and the logistics is a major hassle in a market outside your own, I'd expect to see increased numbers in future waves (maybe not the capital ships, declaring them not for tournament play may take away a massive incentive)

well not at all that convenient how does the pricing work out for UK folks if you order from a US based site like miniature market? Does there discount on the models help offset the cost of shipping?

When MM had a daily special offer on B Wings @$7 ea, I got together with three other club members and between us we ordered 10. By the time shipping was covered, they were about £7 ea. You can get ships in the UK for about £11 delivered, so it was a good saving, but to buy at a normal discounted rate (~ $11 seems about right for a cheap retailer) then it generally isn't worth it. Especially when you run the risk of HMRC intercepting a parcel from the US and slapping VAT @ 20% on the value of the goods, and Royal Mail charging an £8 handling fee on top if they do.

Im in the South East too and encountering similar issues. The biggest one being absolutely no B-Wings (of which I want four) or Tie Interceptors (of which I want two) anywhere! Im not sure where in the south east you are, but Heroes and Legends in East Croydon still has a lot of Tie's, some Advanced, and many Y-Wings left, as well as some X-Wings, A-Wings, HWK's, a couple of Lambda's and Core Set's.

Just as I was about to give up and make a claim, Y Wing finally arrived from the States. Lol, expecting another one from Troll Trader in the next couple of days.
I now have...
5 Tie Fighters (4 from the core set and 1 expansion pack)
1 Tie Advanced
2 X-Wings (both from the core set)
2 Y-Wings
Think this is more than enough for the moment

TrollTrader on eBay has lots of several of the ships. Including some B-wings and Interceptors. All at slightly below retail and with free shipping. A very trustworthy seller.

Unfortunately the UK distributor hasn't got any B-Wings, A-Wings or TIE Interceptors, hence the general lack of them in stores. We ordered (albeit in small quantities) all the items which are currently held in stock by them in the UK recently for Kirton Games. I understand that there is no firm date for a restock from Fantasy Flight either.

Anyone order from Amazon.com for X-Wing? I typically use Amazon for other stuff.
I haven't ordered X-Wing online. When getting a ship at my FLGS...I inspect several packets to choose the best looking (IMO) ship. Do others do this or simply grab one from the rack?
I need a Tie Interceptor...none in my area.

thumbs up For Trolltrader, use the ebay store often for some of my hobby needs.
As for B-Wings, hellfire gaming industries lists them as being in stock still. Ordered myself a couple yesterday, and they were shipped last night. Hopefully be with me tomorrow.

My local Forbidden Planet is swimming in Falcons and not much else at the moment (aside from generic Ties and X Wings). Hardly seems fair does it?

Hat tip to Pacific for the Valiant Wargames suggestion.
Ordered x 2 Tie Interceptors (bloody hard to find in UK) for a reasonable price and they arrived in hardly any time at all.

I would totally get a pair of Interceptors from Miniature Market, because I would really like some variety in my TIE squadron, but I am holding out for the Aces pack.
So I am basically torn between another Advanced, or a Bomber. So far the Advanced I have hasn't been performing TOO bad, contrary to what other people claim.

Tie Advanced is OK, but it's basically just a Tie Fighter with shields and the ability to load up with missiles. Plus Interceptors look cooler
