I 've got a bud of many years who I invited to spend Christmas with my family because he mentioned it looked like it was going to be boring for him this year. Damned if the guy didn't go and buy an XBox 360 with remotes and throw in the Space Marine and Blood Bowl games and a gold online membership along with it because he liked going against me in computer games in the old days 15 years past. We spent a lot of yesterday, of course, bouncing between the Xbox, playing with my little girls, and helping my wife with Christmas dinner.
After the girls went to bed, we then were several hours learning how to get through Orc and Demon hordes and getting started on the Blood Bowl pitch.
All in all, a dang nice Christmas. My wife had already got me everything I would have wanted, but this Xbox gift put it insane over the top.

I received a replica 12th Century Crusader helmet, along with a lovely display stand from my aunt down south, needless to say it made every other gift I have ever got look like crap

Altogether wrapped up it looked like a bedside lamp, so imagine my surprise when I tore off the wrapping paper and saw this giant steel face plate staring at me.

I ended up wearing it for pretty much the entire day

My 69 year old mother logged onto my steam account and got me XCOM Enemy Within based on a conversation she heard between me and my wife over the summer.

My biggest gift was planned ahead, a Vita. My biggest surprise was an 18yo Glenlivet. I had no clue my fiancee had bought it. Apparently my pining after a decent scotch over the last few weeks gave her the hint.

Ooooh. Nice.

If you want to spurge just a lil' bit more... try to get any of the MacCallen Scotch.

Anime High School

A cosplay
A lot of tactical gear

Nothing else. I bought all this with my own money. I did not receive any gifts. I gave a lot of gifts to my friend and his family though. Going to buy myself a keyboard and some gunpla, as well as new hobby supplies tomorrow when the paycheck rolls in.

I didn't expect that much...but then I saw they got my brother in law a new TV, so they wanted everyone to be equal *shrug* Works for me!

I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends.

Some little things from my family, nothing too fancy.

The wife got me some nice house slippers, a very nice winter coat, a traditional German Christmas candle holder thingy, and a "ZooFriends" member ship to our local zoo.

I love going to the zoo (I would often just go while my wife was at work and I was bored) and now we get free admission for the year as well as invitations to fun events throughout the year and discounts inside the zoo. Very happy about this.

The wife gave me an iPhone 5S to replace my old one with welding slag burns all over it and a busted speaker, a Capitals hoodie, some ear phones, and Skyfall on Blu-Ray.
My parents gave me a short throw shifter and bracket for my Mustang, so I was pretty pumped about that.
Then brother-in-law took my wife, their mom and her husband (shudder...), my two girls, and me to Walt Disney World. It was amazing!
