I like books.

Umm. You don't need a device to read and game with it and you can have office max print it out and bind it. I did.

It's either a .mobi or .epub format (I don't know which, I haven't downloaded it), which is the format that e-readers use.

Either of these file types can be opened on a PC and printed.

Ah. Consider me informed. I usually only deal in PDF format. I'm the "weird guy" in my gaming group that doesn't clutch at a tablet for the entire game like it's a magical talisman to ward off evil. Half the guys even use die roller apps. Ugh.

I mean I'm not a barbarian, but good grief.

I agree with you I hate this digital release only crap, I wish I could meet a GW representative in person and slap the out off them for them allowing that.

I so regret getting back into 40k, I don't want to rage quit though since I invested money. I hate escalation and data slates crap to. Dakka should totally open up a "We hate Games Workshop" section because that company sucks

If it was in print I would have purchased both the sisters and inquisitors codex just because.

The sisters "codex" does offer quite a bit more than most people were even expecting. And in all honesty it is a major upgrade over the WD release. I am content with it for right now. But I want the same thing every other full codex release gets. New models. New units. A hard back book, A "Order of our martyred lady" supplement. I want to see GW put some actual work into the army.

Since 3rd edition we have been slowly losing units. With the WD book they removed our landraiders, chimeras, stormtroopers, and our inquisitors.

With the digital book they finished removing everything from our "book" that doesn't have a model. We are the only army which over the last 10 years has actually gone down in total number of units they can field.

Every marine book they find some new STC with new tanks or marine armor. Every nid book there is a new evolution. The warp sees fit to grant the chaos books with new toys.

I would love to see a full treatment. I can't speak for others but id imagine every other sisters player would too. However I am content to wait a bit. Its only been what? 3 months since we got our current book? Money is tight right now anyways so its probably best that I don't have tons of new toys to tempt me into buying.

We didn't lose units from C:WH. We gained units that were shoehorned in.

The unit we lost in 3rd was frateris/redemptionists. Other than that, we have gained and lost special characters and gained a few different types of units.

Also, your point mirrors mine... which is that we have only ever had one real codex, Codex: Sisters of Battle in 2nd edition.

A supplement would indeed be awesome. But, personally, I'd prefer a different Order. ML always gets the spotlight, it'd be nice to give another Order a turn. Argent Shroud would be a cool one to see get a supplement, as would Valorous Heart.

And even that was intended more as an allies codex, IIRC. A new, fully-fledged codex would be pretty unprecedented, considering.

Not that I think that any of our codexes "haven't been real", though. They're as valid or real as any other, just lacking a few things, such as size or being in print.

@ troike the martyred lady supplement was kind of tongue in cheek. I also would much rather see a different order get a supplement.
