Having modelled up and primed a bunch of guys, I can't seem to make my mind up as to their allegiance. Are they Emperor's Children? Are they Word Bearers? I'm slowly leaning towards a custom warband, dedicated to Slaanesh. Fluffwise they could be a Word Bearers warband that began worshipping Slaanesh exclusively, casting off the penance and fasting of that fundamentalist Legion in favour of the pleasures of the Dark Prince.

So I'm toying around with paint schemes.

How about this?

It is an interesting scheme though I think it is a bit too much like you have plonked a Slaneesh marine's shoulders, helmet and belt on to a Word Bearers marine.

I would suggest perhaps a phasing effect either top to bottom, or from one shoulder down and across... a solid Slaneesh shoulder and arm and helm, then a mottled divide across the chest kind of like a runny paint/lava look between the red and black:

Or just do a fade to black?

Makes it look like the Slaneesh is slowly taking over?

Inverting the colours makes it look more menacing. The dried blood of the Word Bearers is still there, but the general theme is decidedly Slaaneshi.
