Hello everybody! Now that the new year is upon us, what are your hobby goals for this year?

I intend to get more imperial guard for some delicious steampunk conversions, do some more conversion work on my Nurglite guardsmen (diesel/steampunk)
I have plenty of other things i have set myself to do. But i don't want to rant

While my other projects for this year include having a complete Wave 1+2 of Deadzone by the end of the year and starting at least 1 new game, my 40k-specific goal is to finish off my Ultramarines battle company. So far, I've got 30 tacticals and a full command, so still a long way to go. Next on the list is a full dev squad and assault squad to get me up to a half-company.

I want to finish my "Dream List". Also, I'd like to get a Super-heavy to use as a centrepiece in Apoc and Escalation. Most likely a Great Brass Scorpion, even though it's Khornate

I want to devote one month of the year to each of my armies.

January will be Orks.

Paint my 3 titans and 3 primarchs.

Kinda think of it, i might look into getting a super heavy. Not sure which one though. Probably just a baneblade... Thanks SarisKhan for sparking that thought

I want to complete my space marines collection.

I want to finish my White Scars gaming army (around about half way done). And then start a high quality, labour of love, IG army

I'm going to be making a pretty sizable purchase of Nids toward the end of January/begging of Febuary.

I'd eventually like to start replacing a lot of my metal tyranid models, with plastic ones. This would mean all the Hive guard and Tyrant guard, as well as the three Tyrants (Including the Swarmlord) I have. That process is probably going to be slow, as that would be close to 500 dollars just on the guard models.

Hopefully that'll be it for Major hobby stuff this year. I may get some Chaos Forgeworld stuff.

Wait patiently for Ork and Blood Angels codexes while thinking about bandwagon jumping on to a shooty army.

I want to start a dark eldar force.

My new year's resolution, if you can call it that, is to make models table-top at a greater ratio than 1:1 compared to purchases. I haven't got more than 20 grey models, but at the same time I've only got about 40 models I'd call finished to table-top quality. That means I've got around 300+ models I've only touched one or two colours on.

Other than that?
1. Very, very lightly expand Eldar army, if at all.
2. Lightly expand Retribution of Scyrah army.
3. Bring my Scibor Dark Angels up to at least 2000 points with some room for alterations.

Paint everything I have now before buying something else - I'll save some money for a Xbox One in the process, too

I love this idea. I lose interest in any given project after a month or so.

January will be dedicated to my 2nd edition Tyranid army. I need to get my Screamer-Killers painted up, and I need to come up with some conversion ideas for a Tervigon.

February will see my Valhallans and my Baneblade become finished.

March and onwards... I'll cross that bridge when I come to it

Seeing as I have finished adding to my CSM army, I just need to find the time to paint the remaining 99.95% of it.

I want to get my Tau army painted to 1850.

I want to bring my painting skill to a higher level.

Finish painting my chaos army and maybe add a couple of beefy competition/escalation units to it. Paint up legion of the damned for kill team. Then i want to start the long road to a death korps of krieg apocalypse army. Lots of troops, lots of arty.

I'm planning on updating my 'nids, orks and guard armies with the new stuff once it arrives. I also want to get a Bio Titan & Harridan for my 'Nids and some more big stuff for my Orks.

I need to get round to starting my Space Wolves and Blood Angels armies, I have all the bits, I even have all the Space Wolves vehicles built and painted and have done so for the last four years or so, I will finish them when their new codexes hit I promise this time. Both armies are 100% conversions, Space Wolves are space viking dwarves, the Blood Angels are female vampires in spartan armour.

I'm one of many doing a Necron army out of the Mars Attacks box.

My main financial focus this year is having a HH UM complete company commissioned and painted to near display standard. I have all the vehicles, just need the troops, all 106 + Roboute. First unit, the HQ, is about 50% complete. This will complete my UM Chapter. I'm having a unit done per month, should be about complete by the time the fourth HH book drops games day this year, which should be the one featuring UM.

Not sure what I'm going to have for Christmas, I normally get something big commissioned,might go for a big Eldar flyer and have some all over free hand done on it.

Me? I've decided upon a new paint scheme for my nids, which has finally gotten me off my duff to get them finished, and I also want to get what Iron Hands I have finished (basically a tactical squad and a vindicator left)

Other than that I want to get the new Nid codex (obviously) and get a couple of the new models for the book.

Build up my world eaters force and smash me mates nids to death with the blunt end of a rusty chainaxe... Yep

I'm going to try and ebay/kitbash/frankenstein my way to a 1500 pt dark eldar army for less than a hundred bucks.

I have plans for an entire Order of Sisters. We will see if finances can align with my plans.

I want to try and get up to 2000 points of my Necrons painted up, also want to make some headway on redoing my Dark Eldar list and painting.

- finish building/painting my white scars up to 2500

- pick up a fire raptor once the rules get approved

- buy the new BA dex at the end of the year.

- pick up about 1250 Nids when the new dex comes out

build any new nids that I add in the new release, then get back to my necrons.

The poor guys have been waiting for a new paint scheme for a long time.

Oh, then maybe repaint my marines.

I like that table. Might work on something like that with a lower profile for the gaming group.
