Subject: WFB equivalent of 40k Kill Team?

Hello WFB!
I've always wanted to get into WFB but never wanted to drop loads of cash on another army. I'm really enjoying 40k's Kill Team on the fact that I can have a couple of different teams and still play intense games! Is there an equivalent for WFB? I'd love to get some greenskins and play
I know nothing of WFB rules!
Thanks in advance!

Indeed, one of GW's best games and aside from the miniatures, absolutely free.

Wait wait waaaaait one minute...... There's fantasy kill team!?
I'm gunna have to check this out! Skaven are probably awful though since they have terrible leadership and skaven rely on lord/bsb buffs but I'm gunna have to look at this!
What's the point values people play? Free gw stuff is hard to come by haha

Skaven are pretty good in Mordheim. They are based around Clan Eshin, so are basically a band of assassins.
You don't play points values as such but purchase a war band up to a value of 500 gold coins e.g. A mercenary swordsman is 25 gold coins, a zombie is 15 gold coins etc

You make it sound exactly like points values
It's not though, since Mordheim has more in common with Bloodbowl than Kill Team. You find gold on your expeditions and can use it to hire more people for your next one. (Haven't played Mordheim since the 90s though, so I may have something fudged.)
I really liked how it played, but you have the problem of some people "leveling away" from others in your group since it's not reset at the start of each match, but rather you take your gains with you to the next match.

The cool thing about mordheim is also the community. I think that every army book out there now has a balanced mordheim list to play with (Look here: http://return-to-mordheim.blogspot.com/2012/03/lizardmen-from-jungles-of-lustria.html and here: http://www.mordheimer.com/warbands/experimental/ogres.htm
Both those websites are great)
I use lizardmen and they are so much fun!

Well sounds pretty fun I will have to get a few of my friends to read the rules and we will try it out!
Kind of excited to try something different with fantasy...over the christmas break I got a TON of fantasy games in and sorta tired of it (just because 5 or 6 games in 2 weeks is a lot for me haha) just need a break and hopefully this brings a new game up should be fun!

I would also chime in that Mordheim is great. If you did't want to do that though, there used to be a little book for Warhammer Skirmish that contained sample scenarios and suggestions.

I looked at the old Kill Team rules, and the link I provided is damn near the exact same thing for Fantasy.
Mordheim is a great game, but more complicated than Kill Team or Regiments of Renown.
If you are looking for a small scale skirmish game to learn the rules for Warhammer, check out the link in my sig. It's a lot of fun.
