Just bought an Armorcast Reaver titan off of someone. Just wondering what the size comparison is between the Armorcast one and the Forgeworld one because I may modify it to match the dimensions...

Spoiler:

Armorcast stuff is freaking tiny. The Tyranid stuff that's supposed to be huge is like around Tervigon size.

Tybreos' comparison shot is pretty good. Taking a look at the models, the Armorcast Reaver's head, carapace, shoulder width, shoulder pads and missile launcher are not far off from the FW Reaver's sizes. Its primarily the longer FW legs that make the difference in height between the two models.

I also have plans to mod an Armorcast model to more closely match the size of the FW kit and here is what I was planning to do:

Upper half
Move the head upwards on the torso about 1/4" by chopping the bottom of the head mounting boss by 1/4". You will need a new shorter bolt to connect the head. Extend the bottom of the torso by 1/4" to 3/8" and bulk up the lower torso.

Legs
This is the tough part. Legs need to be extended by at least 1.5 inches, probably by extending the cuff about 3/4" on the bottom and extending the thigh by the same amount. Would cut the thigh off right at the waist piece and bring the ribbed joint up to horizontal. Cut the thigh right where the two "bones" meet the upper ball and sculpt a new heavier thigh.

Thx, this actually does give a good reference point. I was thinking of doing the same thing, chopping limbs and inserting extensions. Also, thinking of basing him on some kind of rock or ruin pile to add a few inches to his height. Be a good opportunity for a dramatic pose...

Exactly what I was thinking of doing, but instead of a Rhino, I was thinking the dismembered torso of a Lord of Skulls.
