Templars need an assault transport.
Fixed that for you.

While I understand that Black Templars need something as they are traditionally a close combat loving army, don't they have access to Land Raiders and Storm Ravens?
Both being Assault Vehicles.

Seriously man, we got nothing. It's a sad day when the loyalist codex fits your troops better than the codex released for you army. Just, the whole thing was terrible for the huge chunk of information it left out.

You can't take them in sufficient numbers to get more than a few units into CC, and by then you're playing a list of "can he kill 4 Land Raiders before I reach him?", and even then most of the melee units are worse (!) than Banshees once they actually get to melee.

Oh great god, where to start...

For CSM

Ahriman is the leader of the Corvidae, a society of divinity pyskers, but he can't learn a single divination ability

Chapter tactics, like the SM codex has

drop pods

storm shields and thunder hammers

ironclad and venerable dreadnoughts

Stormravens or some sort of flyer transport.

Some more nammed HQs, come on, theres only four chapters right now, there should be more

More chapters! Night lords etc

More daemon engines

other variants of the land raider

"We are the Red Sorcerers of Prospero, damned in the eyes of our fellows, and this is to be how our story ends, in betrayal and bloodshed. No...you may find it nobler to suffer your fate, but I will take arms against it." -Ahzek Ahriman

It's nice and all but that is literally the only "Artillery" option.

@ AlmightyWalrus

That makes sense, so what the codex needs is a rhino variation that kinda drives in backwards and drops the loading ramp in the enemies face there by making it an assault version?
Kinda like a WW2 landing craft with tracks.

I could say quite a few things... But since the last codex wasn't a model release anyway, I guess I can say that the big holes weren't getting filled in anyway. Though pictures of Orders other than Martyred Lady (and the occasional Sacred Rose Sister) would have been nice. In fact, the codex actually says it has pictures of the "livaries of several different Orders Militant".

Tau vehicles can't fire as if they were a fast vehicle or split targets like PotMS, No more max guns drones with max stealth suits, no way to increase ballistic skill outside of Marker lights no way to negate Slay the Warlord for 1 more turn. I also feel that we should have gotten a build-a-stealth-suit-commander for the loss of the Shas'el.

Guns that go 12". There was a time when shuriken catapults were objectively better than bolters.

That is no longer the case. This thread asked me about thing that exists in the background that does not exist in the rules.

18" too.

Of course back in those days Eldar topped 2nd edition as well, so..Yeah.

But of course if its things in the background...

All the variants of bolters, bolter ammo, along with all the various technology the Imperium and Chaos has (Gimme Daemon guns! There's specialized ammo that becomes daemons after you shoot them!)
