Maybe drop the LR, add a scout team with beacon at an obj or pivotal point in your line and use the terminators as deterrents/lock down an area? Stick vulkan with the assault Marines. Use the points for a second talon, maybe a few upgrades.

maybe swap melta for flamer and combat squad your Marines when they drop.

Ok, with such little time before the tournament, maybe let us know what other models you have to choose from? That way the suggestions can be tempered by actual possibilities.

I have the following stuffs:

Sternguard
More Stormtalons
More Drop Pods (5 total)
Another Thunderfire Cannon
More Marines
Command Squad
Devastators
Another Landraider
10x Sniper Scouts

I could also probably get my hands on a Razorback and some Vanguards too.

I think I tend to agree with black forge, add in some scouts with locator beacons so the terminators can be an accurate deep striking threat. They also give you more troop choices to boot which is never a bad thing.

I would scrap the Land Raider, it will be a massive fire magnet for any anti-armour weapons your opponents have

Having been on the receiving end of Drop Pod Sternguard they are always a useful option, albeit usually in a suicide fashion.

Throw Vulkan in with the Assault Marines and maybe bulk them up to a full squad to increase survivability and impact..

Just my thoughts, good luck with the tournament, have some fun.

Using the advice, I dropped the LR, added another Stormtalon and 6 Scout with Snipers/Heavy Bolter/Teleport homer.

I also added a locator beacon to the Assault Marines' Drop Pod -- idea is that if they get into trouble, I can land the Termies near them to help Vulkan in a pinch.

I would drop the Termies all together, IMO they will hardly do any damage by the time they get into assault.

If you have it i would get 2 Dreadnoughts in drop pods & give them a MM&HF

Also for your tactical and assault squads give your sergeants a melta bomb and mastercraft them.

Unless you are really hard set on the scout w/ heavy bolter
and Hellfire rounds i would drop him too.

Also note: if you want to follow Salamanders fluff no flyers lol

I don't have the Dreadnoughts built unfortunately. I also agree on the fluffyness of stormtalons. That's why I only had 1 initially, otherwise I had 0 flyer defense and I figured I should have something.

As an aside I also have a Centurion Dev squad built with Grav Cannons. Any thoughts on using those? Was maybe thinking of putting them in a Skyshield Landing Pad

I dont like Centurions, i mainly just dont like the grav guns in general i guess thats just me though. My salamanders are purists lol just flamers and meltas.

I dont really see the point of you haveing a Skyshield landing pad, you can bolster 2 things so off the bat you will have 2 pieces of terrain that will give you at least a 4+ cover save.

Idk what would be best to swap out for the Terminators but i dont see them doing any damage, and if they do i think it wont be enough to earn their points back.

You do relize that multi meltas will have to snap shot after coming in from reserve so i would drop them from the tac squads.

They will likely end up in a deployed combat squad. If not they will still be twin linked, so ill at least have a slightly better chance at hitting on a snap shot
