Why wouldn't you want to add more minis to make more money? This is not about getting greedy. If you have more funds to actually HIRE somone then you would also make the Nov date even if you have more minis.

Sure... Jeremy wouldn't possibly make it in time with more models. But with more funds he can go bigger than sticking to a one-man show.

If that's the plan; hiring other people adds a whole other layer of pain in the butt to running a company.

Really successful Kick Starters in the past have often had trouble with over whelming themselves with new products to produce. It might well be wise to keep things in small chunks, doing additional small KS when the previous ones are done and out the door.

He is starting a company. This kickstarter is for paying off the molds that he has or is nearing completion on. Hence why Jeremy has a good business plan as far as we know. (not any distrust in the man just it is always possible he's just leaving for Jamaica forever)

Also not delivering on time is a really big problem. Even if you claim it isn't important because kickstarter isn't a preorder it's still a problem. Here it is in business terms. If a business fails to pay out dividends and impress its stockholders they tend get the head of the company replaced or the entire company bombs as people sell out. In the case of kickstarter the miniatures are our dividends. Hence why a lot of companies that have a habit of being late have had poor performances on later kickstarters as we the customers/investors have wised up to them being bad at business.

Just a personal aside the "kickstarter isn't a preorder" defense for gakky kickstarters is a really irritating fallacy. It's even worse than people who try to brush off all criticism of problematic female minis as "prudes".

I should have been more clear: starting a company does not necessarily mean "hiring other people". Keeping an operation to one or two proprietors is often a lot cleaner and easier than hiring even one employee. Keeping the workload down to the level that those proprietors can handle it themselves reasonably is often a very good idea.

Delays also risk postal charges rising

thus changing what was a successful campaign into a financial loss

Sometimes, it's better to start out modestly to test your comfort levels before going all out. Jeremy wants this first Kickstarter to gauge interest and create a fan base. In the future, we'll probably have campaigns with more models. Ultimately, though, does it really matter? We're already getting two more models than what was originally planned for the campaign (Plague Angel and Possessed Dragon). Not to mention, the more models he adds the less likely he'll meet the deadline for shipping, which would be pretty irritating to a lot of backers.

Because he doesn't want to make the same mistakes as a ton of other Kickstarters have?

We've been through this and Jeremy's also been through this.

I'll take that as popular opinion being strongly "Keep it manageable, and deliver on time!"

I feel this way, too, and will gladly back another campaign or pay for a pre-order later for models he doesn't have ready in time for this campaign.

Does someone knows how big/tall will the Plague Angel be ? Since it's a silver level model I'm assuming it will be similar in size to the other silver demons. I personnaly would prefer a smaller model and would like to make sure before pledging.

I like the Plague Angel. The Maggot demon is the first shown that does absolutely nothing for me. Which is a shame. If the bloated version ever comes to pass, I'll be more than happy to buy it, though.


It's not like bloated, rotting enemies are a GW invention, anyway.

I'm hoping the bundles aren't restricting to which models you can get in them. Like, I hope it's not going to be bundles of particular models and will instead allow us to pick the particular models we want in the bundle from an assortment of choices. Because, if the value is good, I'd love to do a bundle of the Vulture, Pincer, and Plague Angel. That is, pending the final look of the exclusive parts for the Maggot Demon and how awesome the Possessed Dragon is.

@darth bob, Jeremy has stated that he will discuss how to swap out models in the bundles, but you can always a la carte your purchase.

I'm wondering or all you kickstarter gurus out there, can you create a second account to order another early bird(if one opens up). I know it would be better to just add he model onto an existing deal, but if it means getting a second secret special gift it might be worth the extra shipping and price difference to me.

You can create a second KS account without any problems,

(I've got a second which I occasionally use to give myself time to decide which EB slot to keep where it's not clear which is the most sensible for what I want)

although personally I'm reluctant to 'game' the system and so won't use both to complete orders on the same project just to pick up extra stuff

However some project creators have issues with sending extra discounted or free stuff to the same person at the same address, and may even word things to disallow them so if you do choose to go down this route getting your wife/partner to be the 'name' on the second account is sensible

Glad to see everything is doing well here. Sorry I haven't been posting more often. I am right now uploading the last model and then going straight into bundles. I will also be updating the page with the remaining exclusive parts. All in all, very happy with the size and speed of the campaign.

You have all been great, and as I post the last creature I want to thank you for being here, for helping each other out, and for supporting me.

I know this is unlikely due to the afformentioned preference for head+weapon alternate combo, but it could be really cool to give the plague angel wings covered in eyes like the angel of death in Judaism. In addition he could have a shrouded head with many eyes within the shroud.

Any hints about the free item (what it is or when it will be revealed)? Just curious

My brother is very much torn as to which model he wants now hahaha. At the moment it's Warrior Daemon, Mountain/Emperor/Zombie or Possessed Dragon lol. Probably a feeling similar to that of the Possessed Dragon's head/neck section lol

I was never in for dragons anyway, but, while well executed, I'm not feeling the possessed dragon.
