Not quite true. In general when an ebook is released with it's hardback it's generally in the $12-$13 range and doesn't give discounts (similar to the hard back which you can get with discounts off the at for around $18-$19. But when the book finally goes paperback the ebook price drops to between $8 and $10 US. GW's price doesn't drop when they release the paperback.
But yes, Ebooks are oddly expensive. I just don't want to pay $6 more each book because GW!
Maybe me and a couple of friends will go in together and buy the series and then all download it. That drops the price significantly.

That link shows the eBook being £6.99, the HH MMPB's currently retail at £8.99.

It's a BL publication, so it's in the right place.
To regurgitate my own feelings on it: Macragge's Honour was okay. Typical comic book fodder really of big bright pictures with large font to denote loud stuff happening, though some of the visuals are neat.
Also, a lot of the dramatis personae shown at the start of the novel only appear for a frame or two, or just one frame with no dialogue or relevance to the plot at all. Why?

However i am a bit confused, but ill spoiler tag it, anyone who has read it, can they explain this:
Spoiler:
In the book, its explained that the imperial fists are basically wiped out by being on the planet that the ork moon arrives over.
Now we have tales of chapters who were massacred at isstvan (Salamanders etc) taking generations to become a power again and have a chapter.
The fists have always been seen as one of the big names that had a strong legacy and that in turn fed into their second foundings (templars etc).
So how can they be retconning it so that the fists are basically wiped out in M32, but by M41 they are back to being a big deal again.
I realise its over 9000 years so they could have buolt it up again, but its just seems an odd plot decision.
But there are 11 more books to go
GW/BL throw about the almost complete destruction of marine chapters fairly willy nilly in recent years. For instance, in the Space Hulk fluff, the Blood Angels lost iirc 90% of their strength and then lost over half again 500 years later in BL books. The significance of something like that has been watered down as of late.

Yes that was exactly my point, HH books that are now available as mass market are only ~£7, while the new ones are between ~£10 and ~£20 depending on if it was a limited edition. So based on that BL are indeed discounting older ebooks as they drop down the book types.

The BL website is confusing because on most of the HH novels it lists a paperback price, but it doesn't tell you what format that is, trade or mass market.

My copy of the new Garro books is now in the post apparently.

It's not always easy to find Corax and his Raven Guard – their stealthy ways, and the primarch's penchant for becoming semi-invisible see to that – but when you do locate them, they look good. Good enough that we've made a wallpaper of the latest cover to feature them, 'Ravenlord' to adorn your devices. Download it now, and check out the eBook-exclusive novella on blacklibrary.com and iBooks.

$80 for a book with the art everyone has seen already and which will be outdated by the end of this year. Yeah, good luck with the sale BL, you'll need it.
Plus, unlike the Battles of the Space Marines novel series, the Horus Heresy art is totes amazing IMHO, especially because they got an artist who fething gets 30k and doesn't crank out horrible gak that looks nothing like the established IP.

Read the extract of Predator, Prey and I am impressed so far. I wish they would do more books this way. I guess this isn't going to be the whole style throughout the book but it was refreshing to read. Certainly have preferred it to I Am Slaughter.

I'd have bought it as I've liked many (but definitely not all) of the covers. The thing is though is that I'd have bought it if the series after 8(?) years was actually done. What I wouldn't buy is an incomplete collection of the covers. It's kind of like with the old HH visions books; I waited till the collected Visions with all three came out and snapped that up in a minute. YMMV.

What do we know about the Fists Exemplar from Predator, Prey? Obviously Imperial Fists successors and their Chapter Master is named Thane, but what else? I wish they wouldn't insert stuff like this. Also, Orks, Imperial Fists, but no Crimson Fists?! What folly is this?
Shame I missed the boat on the calendar, I really like this artwork but really not a fan of art books, they just tend to sit on the shelf, this stuff deserves to be on show.
Still seems not that bad for what you get, plenty of people out there will be interested im sure.

My point exactly. If it included all artwork from HH + bonus in a shape of artist's sketches or maybe alternative artwork for the same books it would worth it. As it is - no.
Do we know its only the covers at this point and that they won't include bonus bits?
I'm hoping its a part 1 with a part 2 showing up at the end. Although I suspect even after they have covered the final battle on the Vengeful Spirit and the aftermath they'll still publish books set in HH.

Feast your eyes on the cover art of the upcoming Horus Heresy anthology War Without End, book 33 in the Horus Heresy series. (For those of you asking why Pharos is book 34 – mystery solved!)
This tome will feature tales from all across the galaxy, most focusing on those Legions that remained loyal to the Emperor (Go Team Good Guys!).
If you want to make sure you get your (iron) hands, imperial Fists or raven's talons on this as soon as you can, set your reminder for the Horus Heresy here and we'll drop you an email to let you know as soon as any new novel, novella or anthology is released:

Finished Book 2 of The Beast Arises this week, really enjoyed it, seems like:
Spoiler:
There is only one IF left, there were three more but the Mechanicum killed them when they tried to wake them from that self healing stasis that Marines can go into when grievously injured. Unless there is more IF hiding on the Ork Moon then they'll be rebuilding with help from other chapters as they couldn't even recover gene seed from the fallen IF and this is set before Terra held gene seed banks if I remember correctly.

That is pretty dumb since IF and all of their successors can't even go into that self-healing stasis since they lack the Sus-an Membrane. My God, GW, this is one of the defining traits of the frickin' Imperial Fists. What's next, are you going to have them spit acid too?
