I hope with this new spotlight they do Cadians with carapace armor. Since the axing of the Kaskrins i just want some generic carapace dudes as vet allies for my BRs.

Heresy. MORE DKOK.
I wouldn't expect anything though. The picture is just an old one from IA12, and there was nothing even hinted at during their open day recently. We might get updates to match the new codex, but it's probably just a "look, we make IG models too!" banner.
Yes, DKOK NEED a 4th set of basic guardsmen (maybe relaxing, playing cards and eating meals?) and some more commissars. Meanwhile Elysians can do just fine without model options for officers beyond a power fist. Or a commissar with a grav chute (better use those resources for another Krieg commissar!) or carapace armored troops. Nope. Krieg need all the love.
I think the Guard ad is just to capitalize on the new codex released. And hopefully an update for IA1 Vol 2. That book lasted all of a year before being out of date...

Yeah, but their gasmask also feeds them all the food and water they need and playing cards is for heretics, so the ''relaxing Kriegsmen'' really are just a mix of all three previous squads.

Er, the Named character in Book 1 has completely different wargear to this model- this is just a generic Magi with an abeyant and rad cleanser- the art work on the page for Calleb Decima in book 1 very closely matches the old titan techpriest model that FW still sells and the wargear matches too, so I reckon this dude is the model that represents the named character:

Glad I'm not the only one who isn't a fan of the d!ck-bikes. I look at them up close and they're well designed, but the minute back up and look at the whole its phallic shape overshadows everything else.

Hah! I say that's your dirty mind who does the phallic interpretation.
I kind of like the Scimitar-pattern, very art-deco inspired and mostly reminiscient of the late-generation, high-end steam locomotives, but I guess that to some things that are more aerodynamic and not shaped like a flying snow-plow is not to everyone's taste. The only beef I have with them is the rules, they really, really need 2 wounds, perhaps an interesting USR and a bump in in points to better represent that (quite large) awsome model.

Well, a much more vague description of the battle of Paramar V showed up way back in WD 109. There are quite a few other battles mentioned in the WD 108-120 range that may appear in other Heresy books.

Well, the primary use of war -is- to kill the enemy in order to steal his gak.
That and the Legion is not a garrison-force, they do not hold territory, so why should they not leave once their primary objective have been met?
Yes, they did leave some loyalist mechanicum and iron warriors alive and Horus was kind of miffed about that, but remember the overall plan of the Legion; get Horus to Terra but ensure that both sides deplete their forces on the way there.

I think they said this open day that Prospero will be the next book if things go according to plan, appearantly they have some balancing issues with the Custodes, them being a bit to OTT and OP at the moment and that the whole 'all thousand sons are psycic' is a bit tricky since they don't want to give them the GK-treatment with 'brotherhood of psykers' but something that will more accurately reflect the story on the tabletop.
So if things go smoothly, perhaps by gamesday? if they can't get it to work in time we get Calth.

Et In Arcadia Ego
|
Of all the reptillian nightmares that inhabit the jungle-shrouded continent of Lustria, Dread Saurians are one of the most feared; an echo of ancient days when huge beasts such as this did battle with the forefathers of dragons for supremacy. Immense creatures, larger than the towering Carnosaur, Dread Saurians are few in number and sacred to the Lizardmen, and the fury of each that prowls the fetid jungles is moderated only by the arcane power of the ceremonial armour that bedecks them. Without this precaution, even the power of the Slann could not hold them in check.
When the winds of magic rise and a great storm draws close, the Slann Mage-priests will stir and chant the ancient rituals of binding, shackling the captive Dread Saurians to their will, while their legendary might is coveted by the sorcerers and wizards of younger races. Let loose upon the battlefield these reptilian monstrosities wreck terrible havoc upon the foe with both their fang-lined jaws and the divine blessing of the Old Ones.
The rules for the Dread Saurian, as well as many great beasts, can be found in Monstrous Arcanum. Designed by Trish Carden, this model is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Thursday 1st May.
