On a side note, are the rules for knights in the HH era in book 3 or are we going to be waiting until a later volume?

Yeah, I have about three orders in my list that are still tagged as "Acknowledged" despite the fact they are months or years old and I got the stuff within the usual, vaguely defined delivery period. Sometimes I don't get a shipping confirmation email until a week after I have the models in my hand(I'd actually assembled and primed my Castellax before they told me they'd shipped it ). I wouldn't worry.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

I phoned up FW about mine yesterday.
Apparently all the special editions are still in picking as they've only just arrived at the warehouse from the printers.
They were hoping to get some of them out yesterday, but more likely it will be today (Friday) or Monday.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

Well that's annoying. I've had the same notification, but if they're still stuck in the Warehouse...

Very decent of you but I'm afraid we can't have pictures like that on Dakka.
Thanks anyway but please refrain from posting images like this on public boards like Dakka

FORGE WORLD BULLETIN #15

It’s only a few more weeks until the Horus Heresy Weekender kicks off in Nottingham. With two days of seminars, presentations, games and more from the Black Library and Forge World teams, there’ll be plenty of new things Heresy related being unveiled. I’ve been reliably informed that the Legiones Astartes Campaign books will be available on the day, as well as our new Event Only model designed by Mark Bedford.

This year’s exclusive Event Only model, available at all the events Forge World attends this year.

Keep a look out for more on what we’ll be unveiling at the Weekender in our Newsletters and this Bulletin over the next few weeks.

The guys in the Forge World Studio have been preparing for The Horus Heresy Weekender for months, but there’s always more to do. As well as the Alpha Legion force I showed you a sneak peak of in last week’s bulletin, Matt Murphy-Kane has been working on a Mechanicum force, including a whole host of Castellax Battle-automata, some of which he’s been heavily converting to show them in the thick of battle. I can’t wait to see them finished and painted!

A Castellax Battle-automata locked in combat with a Contemptor Dreadnought.

The Castellax Battle-automata almost complete.

That’s all from me for now. Make sure you check back soon for more from the Forge World Studio.

Chris.

They haven't actually said what the event only mini is. It apears to have a third eye though, and a clock on the staff, so I'm guessing it is some kind of Psyker, although I don't know the significance of the clock. Maybe a Navigator or an Astropath? I'm voting for Navigator.

The clock thingy looks to be some sort of sextant or astrolabe which are both use for navigation, so would say that's definitely a navigator, which is cool but not sure am sold on the model.

Ah, excellent point. Yeah, having done a bit of reading on Lexicanum, I'm fairly certain the third eye is a warp eye, and combined with the astrolabe, Navigator it is. I like it personally, although not sure what exactly to do with it. Would be a nice model for an Inquisitors retinue.
