So is the Knight Lancer a melee only unit / model? Seems rather silly as I thought it was supposed to be "better" than the Paladin / Errant per the fluff (at least more rare) but it has no ranged weapons?

Makes no sense.

The model doesn't look as good as the the GW plastic kit to me... especially at almost 3x the price.

Based on my sig, one might think that I'm made of money. Still, you'll note the severe drop-off in expenditures this year compared to previous, I hope. One of these Knights is half as much as I've spent so far this year.

Came here to see if anyone else thought that £170 for the Lancer was ridiculous, and glad to see I'm not alone. That's two Avenger Jet Fighters [a really big kit itself]. I'm a bit of a FW junkie but this is one model I will never own.

Dunno, I find the Cerastus Lancer growing on me. I think I prefer it over the regular knights to be honest.
The pricetag is a tad steep but then again it's a huuuuge 'effin kit, it's almost as tall as the Warhound (if nowhere near as bulky) and that hunk of resin costs £331.

Being the clever clogs that I am, turns out I sent my Horus Heresy collector's edition thingy to my parent's place, where it arrived today, on the same day as another book also arrived (/shameless plug).

It's a very nice set of books. Very happy with my purchase.
