Knights left me a bit cold when they were first released, these FW variants are changing my mind. Who doesn't love a giant flamethrower?

They are both from book 3, but are probably in book 4 too. The knight page was actually released in it's entirety by FW though, so that one is fine, not so sure about the triaros.

That's decent choreography, though actually trying to stab like that with a real scythe blade would probably break it, and it all feels too acrobatic for Mortarion's bulk. I wish they'd done something more stylized, a realistically-gripped scythe is an infamously terrible weapon, as anyone who's ever reaped a field can tell you.

I like the look of the knight lancer and variants.

With the new knights I have to wonder about the how worth while these weapons are. Inferno Cannon and gatling heavy bolters are Titan class weapons and are appropriate given that the crusader/castellan are supposed to have quake cannons... With the lancer chassis we have a Titan hunter and two weapon options that make it into an anti-infantry Knight... and maybe I'm missing it but that seems to retread a few things you'd expect from a variant of the paladin. I just figure if they're gonna invent new weapons for knights they'd invent new weapons for knights.

The veletaris storm squad are cool... Preheresy storm troopers?

I'm liking the Dracosan and Solar Auxilia Basilisk.

Salamander Contemptor looks...interesting. Need to see more, at this point I'm not so sure about the "scales" on the arms.

Thanatar is very very snacky.

Thousand Sons marine WIP looks like it could be just what I wanted, but lord do I want to see the various sorcerers. I really hope that we get several of the character sorcerers, too, I've always dug the look of the Phosis T'kar illustrations.

But in nearly every way, a scythe with the grips fitted to it is superior to one without. You can still take your hands off of the perpendicular grips and take the scythe in hand in nearly every single way you can use a non-gripped scythe, but have the added flexibility of the grips for improved control of the blade.

All I can say is I REALLY need to win the lottery so I can ditch all of my 40K stuff and just build 30K armies. I NEED an AdMech army now to go with my Emperor's Children. I NEED to work on an Imperial Army now, too. Mu poor wallet cries in terribly painful anticipation of the 30K Ultramarines.

I have some time, at least, to put money away, before they start releasing Thousand Sons. But yes, that will be a very, very big drain on my bank accounts.

If they are doing the Imperial army I hope they are going to do 30k in more general.. I would like to see Zoats, Squats and those arachnid giant spider things from one of the BL HH books..

Those lasguns look a lot like the Lucius pattern ones the Death Korps use.

While 30k isn't realistic possibility, I could never have too much guard. Carapace veterans, storm troopers, I see possibilities.

Wow... what a load of great stuff! Now that they are off the 'regular marines' stuff and onto characters, specialty legion specific stuff, mechanicum and knights, FW is becoming a lot more interesting... Still feel terrible for Xenos fans, but stuff like the solar guard creeping in to is a nice hunk of variety all the same... to me anyways.

Just my personal preferences and biases. I don't like minis in my armies that wear heavy armor and then neglect their heads...no room for stupid troops in my armies, much less foolish officers.
