So are these Basilisks and medusas gonna have better armor values now that they're on Leman Russ chassis? Didn't even realize Leman Russ chassis existed yet, but I guess these chassis are immediate predecessors.

You could have that backwards, the LR could be built on the x chassis!

The Gal Vorbak are really, really impressive models. I don't play Word Bearers, but I may have to buy these just to paint them up. By the looks of it, they don't seem to have a lot of Word Bearers-specific iconography other than their shoulders. Perhaps I will proxy them as Mutilators.

I'm really not sure I'd call that a LR chassis. Track units, absolutely, but the hull?

Odd though, that the Imperial Army versions will be on the LR chassis, but the SM Legion versions use the Chimera chassis.

Wow. Definitely going to be getting a squadron of the artillery tanks and that transport Malcador.
There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
The Gal Vorbak are amazing. It is a VERY good time to be a Word Bearer. I've wanted a few units of Possessed for ages but the current kit is garbage. Kinda gonna be miffed if there's only five of them, they don't look like they have a lot of parts to mix and match with, but they look so fething good I almost don't care. Now, when can we have Argel Tal?
Very interesting AdMech stuff coming out now, kinda hoped we'd see some robed and hooded Skitarii by now. The Triaros is gorgeous, though, as is the Magos-on-a-whatever-the-feth-that-is. Very excited to see some DarkMech stuff in the next book.
Very hopeful for some more HH Imperial Army tanks, did anyone get an clue as to the what the rules/stats will be like for Dracosan Transpor? Looks like one intense APC!

They are play testing and developing them for Book 4 "Conquest" so any posited may be changed anyway. Alan Bligh was at pains to point out that the Solar Aux. would have something to allow them to fight toe to toe with the marines, so I'm guessing the tanks will be good.
He did say that the tanks are better than the 40k equivalent because they "still know how they work".
Completely computer modelled (in z-brush).

I did do a search but got no results, so I thought I'd do a quick heads up post;
Some months ago I noticed the Forge World Ork Battlefortress was missing from the site. At the time they still had a Facebook page, so I inquired about it and was told it had been withdrawn for new molds to be made. That was in February, if memory serves.
I emailed Forge World yesterday, as the Battlefortress is still missing, and received this reply this morning:
Hi,
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately this product has been withdrawn from sale due to problems in creating replacement moulds. We hope to produce a new version in future but this will not be for quite some time.
If there is anything further we can do to assist you, or if you have any queries about the information we have requested or provided, please telephone us.

I cannot describe how excited I have just become. Can not wait!
We've seen that idea with the Legion Malcador, as it doesn't have the engine problems the 40k version had so it's a fast vehicle in 30K.

So that's that. Carry on with your HH frenzy
Can't say I'm surprised. The Battlefortress was kind of an older kit--and a popular one at that.
Aye. I should have bought it long ago, but it's always been one of those models I kept putting off. Wiull be interesting to see what the eventual replacement will be, if they dodo a new mould, or a totally new piece.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Those HH weekender Possesed models are a bit special! Damn!

More likely than not it will be a totally new piece.
A lot of the stuff from that 'era' has been slowly getting phased out/replaced as the moulds die off.
Also that's some fine compute modelling work done by FW, the main GW studio could perhaps use some lessons from those guys.
Edgar said that the sculpts on display were resin, created in the normal way but with the moulds created from masters produced using a 3d printer. He was adamant that what was on display was a much lower quality than that he'd expect for the finished, finalised, production version.
Kosake wrote: Well, I think after this release, GW will not sell a single of their ugly posessed kit ever again.
Never understood how anyone thought that kit was ugly. It's a treasure trove of conversion bits and the models themselves aren't bad at all. Also, I don't think the Gal Vorbak will affect the sale of Possessed since they're on a different base size. Mutilators, on the other hand....
Some of the Gal Vorbak seem like they might make some neat "bio-corrupted" Tyranid hosts... Maybe as a Tyranid Warrior stand-in. They are just really cool looking models, I'm trying to figure out a way to fluff them into my forces...
There are a lot of good bits in that kit if you want to make an army with lots of mutated bits throughout, but the models as complete units are ridiculously over the top, and there aren't many good heads.

How do hey look any more over the top than the Gal Vorbak, though? Not to be argumentative, I'm actually curious because I honestly don't get it and I seem to be in the minority of people that loves the Possessed kit. They look like Space Marines that have daemonic appendages and fleshy growths on/coming out of their power armor. I'll grant that some of the heads are meh, but for the most part the kit is pretty great as far as I can see. They look like possessed Space Marines; what's the issue?*
*Other than the Power Rangers paint scheme GW gave the models.
