Pushed back 1-2 years? This is kinda getting silly. And as for this: -Don't expect Skitari anytime soon" ... all I can say is why not? The third HH books gives a full breakdown of the Heresy-era Mechanicum, and the Skitarii are one of the major wings of that organisation. We need them!

1-2 years gives me ample time to save up the money for the size of Thousand Sons Legion army that I want to build.
Doesn't mean I don't want 'em now, though.

Well, there's three very tricky armies involved, what with Thousand Sons, Sisters of Silence, and Custodes. Not to mention a primarch who can whup up on titans with his psychic abilities alone.

I think they said before that they want to get the psychic abilities of the Thousands Sons just right. And with the new psychic rules in 7th Edition, that might have thrown a wrench in the works.
And, who knows, maybe it's not just the Thousands Sons that are being difficult? Something tells me the Space Wolves could be a problem, too, as they might not follow the core Legion army list as much as the other Legions do.

Yah that realy bugs me too. I also don't like the "Not quite evil yet" dark Mechanicum. That bugs me, since in the book " Mechanicum" it bassicly says the diffrence between the Mechanicum and Dark Mechanicum became night and day once they opened up that tomb. Opening up that tomb if I recall was also when they choosed to start calling themselves the Dark Mechanicum.
The Dark Mechanicum wasn't quite the slow corruption the legions suffered, as soon as they began useing the powers of chaos they became consumed by it's influence very quickly.

I also seem to remember someone saying they don't want the 1Kson's play style to end up being "30k grey knights", and want to make sure they do something unquie with them.
I would imagen this is going to be a issue with the ultra's, Blood angels, Space Wolves, and Dark Angels to boot. Since I'd imagen they want them to play like their 40k verstions well also doing something new and getting the "Legion feel" just right.
Probley why the legions don't feature as much in the up comeing book.

I hope they are taking their time with it because they want it to be great, rather than just padding it out as a money making exercise. Not that I can be terribly annoyed because the models on show at the weekender were amazing.

Well, for the Dark Mechanicum stuff, it was very rapid on Mars, but that is just one, very well interconnected planet. It makes sense for it to have taken much longer for the influence of Chaos to disseminate throughout the Expeditionary fleets and Mechanicum outposts.
As for the Legions, that makes sense for all of them except Ultramarines. They should play almost exactly the same, because their Legion was the blueprint for all Codex chapters post-heresy.

I don't mind waiting as long as there is a steady flow of new stuff. But I'll echo the disconcerted reaction to the news that we shouldn't expect Skitarii anytime soon. They're a very important part of the Mechanicum's forces; it shouldn't be taking this long for us to get them if they're going to be bringing out so many books with Mechanicum stuff in it.

FORGE WORLD BULLETIN #17
This year’s event was once again crammed full with all things Heresy-related. There were some great new models on display and to buy. Tony Cottrell and Alan Bligh revealed details of what’s in store for our Horus Heresy range over the coming months and even provided some sneak peeks of what we've got lined up for the future. There was a special campaign being played plus the chance for everyone to chat with and learn from the artists and designers from the Forge World Studio.
I got to meet more than a few of you from behind the Forge World Sales stand, and it seems you all had a great time. For those of you who couldn't get a ticket to the event, here’s a brief glimpse of what happened.
One of the biggest reveals of the weekend – Vulkan of the Salamanders Legion,
the next Primarch to be unleashed.
Mark Bedford helped eager hobbyists improve their skills.
Stuart Williamson was on hand teaching battle damage and detailing.
The Cerastus Knight-Lancers strode to war alongside the Thanatar and the full Mechanicum Cohort.
Our new Mechanicum-themed display board looked fantastic.
That’s barely the tip of the iceberg! I’ll be back next week with more on what happened at the Horus Heresy Weekender 2014, including the winner of the prestigious Forge World painting award.
That’s all from me for now. Make sure you check back soon for more from the Forge World Studio.
Chris.

Typhon is actually a first captain, not a Primarch. Mortarion would be the primarch for the Death Guard. Mortarion turned out pretty good. Lorgar is just okay to me, I think his face looks too old and weathered. I do think Egans work is the best, theres definitely a difference in style from him and Edgar, you can tell. Egan has a lot of true details and bits and Edgar has a lot of lined/carved in detail on armor plates.

Loyalist eh? Technically speaking Horus only went "Traitor" because Erebus said that The Emperor was planning on killing off the Primarchs, so Horus was only doing what he thought right for his brothers and himself
