I thought I'd see what GW has posted in regards to the new magazines and was treated to the maintenance page.

Not sure what they are doing over there. I know there has been rumors of a relaunch, but it is currently down.

The Forge World site is fine.

Seems to be back up and fine with no changes aside from their "what's new" no longer being about desolation.

That "limited edition Tyranid codex, only 467 left!" is pretty sad considering a week ago there were only 500 left.

Oh yeah, they're just flying off the shelves, GW.

Huh, I'm surprised about that. Normally, those things seem to sell quick regardless of what army they're of.

My site says "Fewer than 467 left..."

Ok guys... you don't say something vague like "fewer then" with a number as specific as 467! Uhhh... I'm guessing that there are 466 left.

Hang on a minute...

UK site says fewer than 256 remaining.

So much for the hope of something great coming out of that maintenance.

I don't see much value in the limited edition of the 'Nids codex. The standard version will serve me will. I did buy the Ultramarines codex, but it looks really nice with my Ultramarine army.

Oh, it changes depending on what country the site is set to.

I'm guessing that the true number is "fewer than" 256, then. I think I've seen the non-UK sites lag behind a little bit before. Some non-UK sites still had Seraphim Superiors in their stores for a while even though they had gone OOP.

Quite, but it does seem odd that they should seem to be assigning different quantities of a fixed number of items. Also, if we have different stocks in different places, this means they've barely sold half of them.

My guess is more are physically located in the US as they anticipated selling greater numbers there. It is possibly lag, it is also quite possibly a gambit to try and make them much in demand than is actually the case.

You know what is kind of funny? I was going to order one of the LE Tyranid Codexes, but then my FLGS owner asked me if I was patient. According to him from the distributor, 400 LE books had been shipped to the US warehouses, and had been damaged in shipping, so they had to get more. I just broke down and bought the regular codex instead.

This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if is aware of us at all it must know us only as Prey."

Hahaha 34 copies sold nationwide in opening week. I guess that's what you get for screwing people's armies over, that has to be a record for worst sold. I imagine this is because the idea of LE codex's appeal more to the hardcore Nid players, who don't want a bar of support this crap they gave us.

Haha limited edition, only 500 made , then another 400 as well because, well... we lost a bunch of them...

People are waiting for their out of FoC deathleaper and 10 lictors formations to pwn other armies . Only when the DLC becomes legal will tons of people start buying the nid stuff and the limited edition will sell like hot cakes.

I really like how instead of there being four slides about Nids, there are two slides about Nids and two slides on buying stuff for your other armies to combat them.

Nids not selling that much?
