well with all the doom and gloom of the new tyranids Codex lets hopefully talk about something a little more positive.

So tyranid players, those of you who did get the New kits what did you think of them?

I got one of the Haruspex/Exocrine, I personally am a big fan of the looks of the Haruspex kit, just a Big gnarly creature that should strike pure fear in those who would see it ( not rules wise, I refer to fluff wise of course) the exocrine model is cool too a big biovore basically. I like that the two kits aren't terribly hard to try and magnetize the head so you can easily swap between the two kits as needed quickly. Overall I was very happy with this kits they were easy to assemble and appeared to be pretty well thought out. I would say this kit should've been priced in the 50-55 dollar (US) range that was my only complaint.

Now I got two of the Flyer kits and these honestly really impressed me , they were well thought out , the instructions were easy to read and really easy to assemble, not only that they made swapping weapon options very easy with no magnetizing of the actual guns needed on the harpy and on the crone they did attempt to make the tentaclids easy to take on and off with little holsters so that you can remove them when fired , we'll see how those tend to hold up over time though. at any rate they would be really easy to magnetize because of the holsters so that's a big plus.

The heads of the flyers are really easy to magnetize so you can swap them out to use both kits if you like, now the arms are a little tricky to try and magnetize but that's really the only draw back if you wanted to make it to where you could use both kits as one.

So guys and gals what did you all who got these kits end up thinking? not rules wise but about the models themselves.

That's the issue. There IS no doom. It was removed.

I see what you did there!

The models are pretty cool. I've got an Exocrine and a couple of boxes of Hive Guard, and I'm impressed with them so far. Also, from what I can tell, the Exocrine and Haruspex kits only differ in the head and front arms. The body is the same, so you could magnetise the Exocrine gun/head and the Haruspex maw/head as well as the two sets of front arms, and swap between them at will.

I love the look of the Haruspex but at £44 it's in the birthday present bracket rather than a personal purchase. Glad to hear it can be easily magnatised.

Yeah, looks to me like they consciously stopped making dual kits intentionally hard to magnetize (Trygon head, anyone?).

The new warriors look more dynamic than the old models to me.
