I'm not the biggest fan. The test says I like it, but I only picked the weakest like option because sometimes they are decent.

Why bother having a varying degrees of agree/disagree when all they do is boil your answers down to agree or disagree.

In all seriousness, it doesn't work. I'd post my scores but then I'd want to rip into it. I probably lean liberal in mentality in many ways but there are many times I wanted to put neutral. Also how does a cat make you liberal, messy table make you liberal, and not trusting government and other figures all the time make you liberal? And I like fusion food it's not fair! This here is Texas so if we like fusion food does that make Texas liberal by this test?

If I state that I strongly disagree with the statement that I prefer cats to dogs I am not implying that I prefer dogs, minimally I am claiming that I have no preference. The same goes for action movies v. documentaries, the Met v. Times Square, and all other similarly structured questions.

This is a scientifically accurate as using one of those love tester machines at a dive bar.

Basic test using the same failed statistics logic that everybody on the internet uses.

You start out with research that shows that A = B (liberals are more likely to like cats than dogs) and then you just assume that therefore B = A (if you like cats more you are a liberal).

It's like every OT argument summed up in a simple test...

Generally speaking, people living in urban areas tend to be more liberal than those in the suburbs and beyond. Combine this with the fact that dogs can be a hassle in urban environments, and its likely that there would be a reasonable degree of correlation between cat preference and liberal political leanings.
