Hey guys,

So ive finally finished all my conversions for my vehicles and im about ready to finally go stomp some people. Heres my list; pretty much what I currently have in terms of models

The overall concept is clumping my wagons together with my trukks, rushing forward with vehicles while bikes turboboost down a flank, while the lootas sit behind the aegis defence line and pump stuff with lead The tactic is basically having a group of high priority targets with the Manz missle trukk, biker squad and wagons. The lootas can sit on an objective if needed and should get a few turns to blast away at any lighter vehicles. The quad gun incase I have to deal with a flyer, which should be supplimented with plenty of loota rounds (snap fire with 45 shoots aint so bad - hoping for 3s ).

In terms of my last 100 remianing points, in terms of what I have available; A squad of bikes, a couple defcoptas, big gunz set.

I'd also drop the armor plates and grot riggers on the battlewagons, in addition to the big choppas on the bikerboyz.

Add a PK to the nobs in the battlewagons. Also I really enjoy the big shootas on the battlewagons. I mean they are only 5pts each, for a 36" str5 assault 3 weapon. really a great value, even if they are snapshots.

With some remaining points, a few deffkoptas wouldn't be a bad idea as outflanking. I think two of them, each with the buzzsaw would still only be 95 points or something like that.

My 2 cents:
1) Either your Nob Bikers or Meganobz can be troops because of your warboss. That will allow you to split your lootas into 2 squads, which is better as they will be less likely to be targeted and can go To Ground behind the Aegis.
2) With your extra 94 points you should definitely get:
A) 3 Lobbas to add some sniping, and fire the quad gun. (3 BS > 2 BS) - 75 points
B) A single DefKopta that starts in reserve, and come on outflanking in hopes of a last minute linebreaker / contesting unit. - 35 points.
4) I don't think Grot riggers are worth it (especially since you have a Big Mek), and they certainly aren't worth it in trukks.
5) Armour Plates are a little better than Grot riggers but not much.
6) You could run your Grot Riggers as Ammo runts with your Big Guns to finish out your points. That way you won't need new models.

Overall, I think you are on the right track, and will have a reasonable chance to win some games, and you certainly seemed to have used great foresight in acquiring a collection of useful models.

One last technical note: Lootas can't hold an objective. They can contest, but not score.

Get grots for that quad gun. Great back field scoring unit.

Ah thanks guys thatsa whole load of really useful insights

Totally forgot that lootas weren't scoring, so grots are definite the answer, I have a few squads, just need to build up a couple loobas then think I have enough bits to make some

But with splitting the lootas into 2 squads at 7, 8 each I I then have the risk that my lootas can only lose two models before there rolling leadership, which is then potentially half my lootas gone. Whereas with the max size squad I benefit most from mob rule. Plus then if I roll a 1 for shots that turn I also still have a high chance of wrecking whatever my target was. Whereas with two I could only get 8 shots...... oh but then I suppose with two squads I can still target the same target with both. Hmmmm

So its a trade off of staying power over split fire. I think perhaps I might take split actually

I think all my nobs in the BWs should already have a PK, might have missed it out. But yeh Il possibly drop riggers and plates then. I like the sound of more big shootas, Ive been a fan of the quantity over quality

I also have a rhino I was about to chop shop, but I could quickly trukk it

Il see what I can do, thanks for the input

Built in? where is that? They have a 4+ cover save from both exhaoust cloud and jink special rules, however that save can't be taken in combat. so in combat im rocking only the Cybork 5+ and FNP.

so with the 'eavy armor ive got:
a 6/9 chance to save the wound (whether Its saved by either armour or FNP)
Whereas with cybork:
a 5/9 chance To save

Hmm so mathematically i only gain an extra 1/9th chance of saving the wound by wearing 'eavy armour. Ok, Definitely worth dropping For an extra 30 points to stick into those combi flamers.
But then,
With the combi flamers I can only shoot one weapon from the bike before assulting, So thats either these flamers or my dakkaguns. surely 18 str 5 shots while not outweighing the amount of hits I could get with flamers they still provide enough firepower to save the 30 points and bring another deffcopta?
Hmm, although I guess I could supliment each charge with a couple flamers and the other dakkaguns, that way hopefully il charge but not completely destoy the unit in one turn, hmm guess its more aboutthe situation at hand.

People need to stop getting that rule wrong. Look at the "warbike" entry under "warbikers"

You can have three TL BS2 shots or get like 8+ hits if you get into the right position. Theres seriously no contest, K skorchas are absolutely amazing on a mobile unit

Oh DUH! frickin brainfart that was
they have a standard 4+ save and then exhaust cloud on top how the hell i missed that I dunno. Probably the thought of any ork having any useful save whatsoever being instantly crushed inside my head

Thanks for the point out. But I do have a question, so when a nob becomes a biker his save goes from the nob save of 6+ to a 'warbiker' save of 4+. How does that work? why does his stat line change? as i am assuming he keeps his Str 4 and 2 wounds which he has over the warbiker str 3 and 1 wound. So why does he get the armour save of the warbiker stat line and retain the rest of his stat line?

EDIT: Ignore that last bit Dakkamite, just double checked the FAQ and found the bit about that (Y)
So again thanks for the info gona give the combi's a go, I do love flamers simply because its a flamer Still working on building some nice burnawagons
