hi guys,

I am interested in buying this http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1160093a

Space Marine Techmarine with Servitors

the desription doesn't say what weapons the box has eg heavy bolters, muti meltas or plasma cannons for the servitors. Has anyone bought it and knows what weapons are inside. Also how could I convert servitors to have Multi meltas? should I just stick any multi melta on?

thanks

I made my servitors out of catachan models. I used the slackjawed heads and gave the skin a pallid tone.

The left arms I used the one holding the knife out and did not put right arms on them. I magnatized the shoulder and then I magnatized a variety of weapon arms to switch as needed. Heavy bolters from the guard heavy weapons magnatized make for that option. I did not do the multi-melta option but it could easily be done with parts from the marine dev squad. I suppose you could do the same for the plasma cannon but I had a gun from another company that served the purpose. Instead of finding claws or whatnot for CCW arms, I was lucky and had a few buzzsaws from old sentinal models that served the purpose. MUCH cheaper than buying official serviter models and they look just as good and match my army better.

I've got the metal version, the servitors come with heavy bolters and close combat weapons. The multi meltas and plasma cannons are in different sets I'm afraid.

Plasma Cannon and Multi-Melta servitors show up under the Elites tab of the Grey Knight section.

Sentinel plasma cannons work well, or PCs from the storm raven kit.

I have that box, and haven't assembled any of it yet.
I'll try to remember to gallery them up, too.

Added:

Note the extra arms at the bottom.

So, the weapons in the box are Heavy Bolters, but attach easily. Magnetise as you see fit.
The weapons that come with the Centurion kit would be perfect, if the right weapon. I think they're just normal type, not heavy, but good candidates for converting for this.

Its changed. I got that when it first came out like 2 days after when it was metal. Used to have multimelta, heavy bother and enough bits to make 2 combat servitors with the winged staff thingys or 2 tech servitors and the 2 gun servos. Also how many options has the techy got? It used to have heaps

IIRC, the Techmarine comes with a left-hand axe, and a right-hand pistol or auspex.
Look at the solo Techmarine model on GW's site, and it has the alt arm fitted.

This is all from the Finecast version, bought last Summer.
