This was a question I've had in the back of my head, prompted by a friend of mine who was hesitant to do a Warhammer 40k RP because one of her siblings exposed her to some Hentai of Orcs raping girls or something to that effect, but it got me wondering, does Boyz have bitz?

I know that as some point Orks where reconnected to reproduce asexually through spores produced throughout their lives and massively on their deaths, and before that "apparently" had genders and normal reproduction that wasn't gone into for the sake of the children (as is the gore splattered grim dark of the 41st millennium wasn't scarring enough...).

My question relates to the modern version of the Da Boyz, introduced in the 4 edition (I think), I know from lore read they "hav ta go to da drops ta take a numba too" like all creatures, (even da boyz poop), but do they still, or did they ever in the first place have Bitz (and you all know what I mean by Bitz, if you don't you shouldn't be reading this...)?

Hmm. There are multiple references to Orks having to use the bathroom, however they do not reproduce like mammals. They are a Fungus and so reproduce by individually producing Spores. Also, they are not male or female, but are all a single gender, and are usually referred to as male.

So, they most likely don't have, um... "Bitz"... in the human way.

And honestly? No, I've never wondered that...

Using the restroom doesn't mean they have genitals. All living beings expel waste.

This is another of the inconsistancies that GW seems to have trouble with in the fluff. They used to but at the time gorkamorka came out, they totally rewrote the orks and changed them into asexual mushroom people. SO yes, they something of some sort to release fluids but we are lft to wonder what it is (or to not wonder and tae for granted for those more sane of us ll). Whatever it is, it is definately not sexual in nature.

Explain that just as with any othe cartoon or toy or whatnot, there will e people who pervert it into something sexual but that is something totally unrelated to the game. Just try to not mention Slannesh in the conversation. lol

But yes, Orks in 40k are asexual. They might have bitz for waste disposal, but not for sexual purposes.
Orcs in WHFB on the other hand do reproduce in the 'normal' way and have everything associated with that, including abominations like the one pictured in the mind-scarring picture above.

Waaargh The Orks! explicitly says that 'orks have no genders' on page 88, so it seems that normal ork 'boyz' have always been 'asexual' (WtO does imply that old orks may possibly develop sexual characteristics after leaving their tribes, but doesn't go into much detail beyond vague mentions of 'marsupial pouches' and 'parents').

On the other hand, there are references to boyz getting kicked 'in the hurty bitz' in the older books, which may imply that while orks don't have mammal-like reproductive organs they do have something between their legs.

I thought that Orks were the intelligent fungi in 2nd edition and they retconned it to actually make them humanoids in 3rd?

No, they have been symbiotic organisms with a combination of animal, plant and fungal elements since 1990. The first explicit description of them reproducing by spores and growing in the ground that I've been able to find is in the 3rd edition codex.

I never got the being fungus part . They aren't fungus , fungus doesn't have chlorofil . Orks would be light blue or red if they were just fungi . They are animals that have a third fungus like string in their DNA . Which also stupid on its own right does make them seperate from fungi .But the real fun part is , that if they realy were a sort of sentinent fungi , then they would not only have 2 sex or 10 or 100 , but 10k+ sexs .

yeah, this was a total redo of their fluff when they released Gorkamarka. before that that drank fungus beer and ate mushrroms. The snotlings used to be in charge (brain boyz) with the gretchin as their henchmen and the orcs were designed to be the grunts and troops. Til the time they decided they wanted to be in charge and ate up the mushrooms themselves so that the brainboyz devolved into what they are today. To really get into it, see if you can get your hands on the old rogue trader stuff for them.
