Subject: Made A new Infinity board this weekend!

Hey there everyone!
I just wanted to share this with you all. I made this board and terrain for infinity over this weekend. I have still have some work to do, but I feel like it turned out ok for what I accomplished in 2 days ( and that's while watching my 3 yr old!) I wanted to make some very quick, very cheap terrain and board for this game and 40k.
I haven't even played a game of infinity yet, but I am super excited about it haha. I've mostly played 40k this past year, but I am pretty burnt out on it. For my first models, I just ordered the new Morat aggression force, they look pretty intense! Remind me of saiyans and I will probably paint them with blond hair and greenstuff some tails on! Just kidding...or am I?
Here is the board, its just a 2x4 mdf with sand from the local park that I sifted the big bits out. Then several layers of spray paint and dry brushing. A little flock here and there.
And the board with terrain, I do have some trees to finish and add in. I think I'm good on buildings, especially after watching the beasts of war video on the subject, the picture doesnt do it justice. But I do want to get some more scatter terrain on it. Its mostly foamboard, some random bits and pieces from the around the house. I plan on lightening up the grey/black building, they are too grimdark for my taste.
I will most likely slowly upgrade to nicer purchased building. The new deadzone terrain looks promising.
Please let me know what you guys think!

Looks good, although the left hand side looks like it might have a little too much terrain compared to the right hand side.

Naw, asymmetrical is better than symmetrical set ups. I would suggest some low visibility zones, like plants/tree/foliage of some sort.

Looking really good!
But be careful not to make your table 'Template Heaven'!

Fast drop on the black tower with some HMGs/snipers and you can see almost the whole board .
But it does look cool.

Thanks guys!

I was thinking about cutting it down a few inches, I was playing around with where to put it and might keep it to ''unbalance'' a side during picking deployment.
Looking really good!

Yeah I watched the BoW vid on how to setup last night and now I might think I have too many buildings?!

Definately! I have several trees in the works

Yeah I plan on messing with the layout quite a bit, I wanted to get everything I had on the table to see where I was terrain wise

II agree that asymmetrical is better, but at this point it is too asymmetrical.
I'll try to get some photos of the table I play at, I'll need those for my campaign dossier anyway.

I suggest that no point on a table be able to draw a line completely to the opposite side of the table. From end to end
I suggest adding a building in the center line, maybe turn that shoe box sideways and move it slightly more towards the left side

6+ = 6/36 | Reroll 1s = 7/36 | Reroll Misses = 11/36 ||||||| 5+ = 12/36 | Reroll 1s 14/36 | Reroll Misses = 20/36 ||||||| 4+ = 18/36 | Reroll 1s 21/36 | Reroll Misses = 27/36
3+ = 24/36 | Reroll 1s 28/36 | Reroll Misses = 32/36 ||||||| 2+ = 30/36 | Reroll 1s 35/36 ||||||| Highest of 2d6 = 4.47 |

2 days work?! That is bloody fantastic. Definitely you could play that table as is, think the terrain concentration looks just about right.
I think if you wanted to go a step further, I would probably just go to Antenociti's or Ainsty Castings and get a load of small detail stuff (computer consoles, fuelling rigs, that kind of thing)
And, yes Saiyan Morats sounds like it could be crazy enough to work!

The best way to accomplish this is to turn the entire layout 45 degrees as if you were fighting diagonally across the city.

Thanks for the layout tips guys, I am trying to get some guys I play 40k with to try the game out, so the more smoothly everything goes and the more balanced it is the better chance I have of hooking them.

Thank you sir! I had already pre purchased and scrounged everything together that I wanted to assemble and paint, the week prior. Much to the chagrin of my beautiful wife I worked through the weekend and skipped most of ''household duties'' So I have to make up for it this weekend.

Best of luck to you getting your 40k buddies to come play Infinity Cheebs!
Great work on the terrain, and if this doesnt help them get in then little will
