A week-long flatline is pretty bad, and any last-minute push might well get cancelled out by last-minute people bailing.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

New sculpt from the Kickstarter. Progress on models is pretty quick so far. Hoping they can really keep to the Sept deadline.

The totally-not-Hulk-because-I-have-hair Amok:

Lady in Red:

Kraken, Phalanx, Scarab are all new concepts to the public. The mechaspartan (and Lady in Red) are from the Pulp City guide. I'll take a pic of the 'Spartan and post later today.

Is the spreadsheet a bit buggy for you?

I can't get Anroida's quantity to change, and I couldn't locate Dark Solar on it...

And - Damn!

Where's the last minute rush!!!

We're slipping backwards here!

Are we losing stretch goals now?

The last week has seen the campaign lose 25 backers and $3800!

Yeah every time I've checked in the last week, the pledge total has gone down by a considerable amount.. but never by $800. This is both a good and a bad thing - my card wouldn't appreciate another blow below the belt but I *do* want my own PC miniature!

Amok looks really great. I think i have to increase my Pledge a little and get some more nice The Way models.

I haven't heard any discussion about Hellsmith. Good to see the spartans finally show up.

So, I got up this morning ready to post a pic of the Mechaspartan art, and I find the silhouettes of the whole Forgotten range have been previewed:

Pretty sure, from left to right, that is:
Stygian: both a leader and powerhouse, able to switch between stats during the game
Mr. Kraken: described by the PM guys as a gentlemanly Cthulhu
Lady in Red: pictured above
Mechaspartan: pictured below
Phalanx: mechaspartan on steriods?
Scarab: possible mummy-like being

The Pulp Monster staff has the rest of these unlocks listed from $90k to $115k, but are talking about restructuring and bringing them into the campaign at lower unlocks.

Get over there and pledge!

Oh, and that mechaspartan, in blueprint art form:

At $83K now with a little under 2 days to go...

I'd love to get all of these in, but I don't see it happening.

IF some of the 'freebies' weren't of the 'Grimm' variety, I think you'd see more of a 'traditional' last few days spike here, but as it is, I don't think we will.

$100K would be a stretch - never mind $115K to unlock the entire "Forgotten"!

Just giving a bump to a great game that is on its last day in the Kickstarter! Come support Pulp City and get some great miniatures with a fantastic rules set.

It is at $87K...

Maybe $100K isn't unreachable after all?!?

This is such a cool Kickstarter...I've never played the game before but I love the miniatures.

I wonder if I could convince some local friends to play...only 24 hours left!

If you have not played the game yet, just wait. After only a few months working with it, Pulp City has become my favorite tabletop game ever.

I'm a big fan of Action Points (a la Infinity), and the tactical play of alternating models between players during the turn makes you think beyond 40k's massive dice throwing, and more chess-like, planning moves ahead of time.

Just make sure to have some scatter terrain around, cause throwing barrels, cars, and vending machines is not only cool, but highly effective.

3 or 4 figures, a bunch of mooks and some civilians makes for a pretty cool day. 2 X 2 board, or a 3 X 3 and fill it with city stuff, or woodline, or a park, or Atlas, or what ever you want, and throw in a couple of heros, and villians, the sidekicks and troopers, ( which you only need around 5-10) and they get thinned out pretty quick.

Rules are available, and the stuffs in play, as well as the prety big selection by now of figures and stuff on thier website that you can really get into this game with.

Takes about a half hour with a few guys in there. its fun, and theres so much you can do that you get hooked in quick.

Update #61

The Lady In Red Unlocked!
Comment

If this Lady in Red is dancing with you, be very, very afraid. Hellsmith and Boreas were but the vanguard of the Forgotten, and now these dark gods have broken through to terrorize Pulp City. A dark shadow has fallen as they encroach, and the Lady in Red guides their way.

Lady in Red is a Level 2 Support Supreme, a dark succubus whose own clothing is a living demonic entity. Be afraid, be very afraid...

And regarding the Supreme Alliance:

(Leon) @Brad: We are planning the SA campaign to be a shorter thing. It will have the SA, and some suitable villains as the core goals.

Build your own will be its own project - that is going to be huge as it can't just be a book v]can it...?

A friend of mine really enjoys the Batman miniatures game from Knight Models. How do you think this compares?

Pulp City, to me, is the best skirmish game right now. Best superhero game on the market at all, but also really tightropes overall. Game creation is quick but super variable, as there are only two choices, hero or villain with 140is minis to choose from. And some can be hero or villain based on your choice.

Action point system lets you be flexible, moving models multiple times I needed. Fatigue does put a limit so you can't do the Infinity Rambo. You really need to make you team work as a team.

I cannot say enough good stuff about it.

Oh, and another stretch goal passed. Lets take it to 100k, get two more supremes and another free model!

Stygian Slithers Forth

The dark queen of ancient evils Stygian is here in all her dark glory. As the Leader of the Forgotten Stygian is a Level 3 Supreme. When the need arises though, Stygian sheds her mortal confines and reveals her true form. At will she can transform into a Level 3 Powerhouse and bring pure wanton destruction to her foes. For the Kickstarter exclusive price of $25 you get both forms of the Stygian.

I'm a BIG fan of INFINITY, so to hear Pulp City favorably compared to it is a good thing as far as I'm concerned.

I like this 'fatigue factor' too for helping to minimize the Rambo Factor!

The Forgotten Faction's Phalanx and Mecha-Spartans are up next at the "I didn't think we'd even get close to it" $100K level!

Less than 4 hours left and the KS is still going strong! Just need some more backers to knock down the last few stretch goals and complete the Forgotten Faction! Mechaspartans and Phalanx have been unlocked.

Up next is the mysterious Mr. Kraken..

Or maybe under the sewers.

Because you guys have been so amazing we thought we should show you what you are working towards. If we can get just 50 more backers in the next 4 hours everyone at Supreme or higher will get this monstrous little Grimm added to their pledge for free? Can we do it? I don't know.

A great finish to the Kickstarter! Over $105K, and even though we didn't quite hit 500 backers, we're still getting the Grimmbiote.

I went in whole hog in for 600.

I've been a fan of the game since the beginning, and waiting for the project for quite a bit. I haven't had a chance to play much lately, but I'll probibly be going in on my COH/ COV boards when I get back in.

Started it last year, but got a bit side tracked with real life getting in the way.

This was a real boost for the game, and a really great way to do it, as well.

No doubt!

Now I really do have to start building up a modern/super-hero board.

What's the standard table size for a game of Pulp City?

3' x 3'?
