How awesome is this? You are like Han Solo but with a license to do whatever you feel is in the best interest of the Imperium. I have to agree with the above. Being a rogue trader would probably be the sweetest deal in the galaxy. However, there are dangers associated.

Like somebody else said a little farther up being a mid-level noble on a random world would pretty much allow you to live a very posh life.

A Dark Eldar, probably. Not sure which or what, but something high-ranking. Plotting would be fun, as would tearing out of a portal over some planet on some lightning fast vehicle and screaming down through the atmosphere.
