I'm trying to get my 35 point versions in order before I move on to 50 points, especially since I don't expect to actually need to field these lists in an actual tournament until PAX, which if memory serves will only be 35 points unless they increase the points this year.

First off, Calandra:

Calandra Truthsayer, Oracle of the Glimmerwood (*5pts)
Troll Impaler (5pts)
Dire Troll Bomber (10pts)
Trollkin Runebearer (2pts)
Pyg Burrowers (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
Trollkin Fennblades (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
Trollkin Fennblade Officer & Drummer (2pts)
Fell Caller Hero (3pts)
Fennblade Kithkar (2pts)
Stone Scribe Chronicler (2pts)

I think this is a pretty straightforward list. It isn't great at holding objectives but I think it excels at peeling dudes off. I feel like one of the things it really lacks, though, is the ability to crack high armor. A bomber on feat turn still isn't churning out nearly enough damage to wreck a colossal. Luckily, there's a built-in assassination attempt in the form of Bomber/Impaler which I can use to finish a game after they make a mistake after getting frustrated with Starcrossed every turn.
The big thing I'm thinking of switching up is replacing the Fenns with Cylena. They can't use Calandra's reroll or any support solo buffs, which is why I've been leaning towards excluding them at 35 - If I did I'm probably knocking the kithkar and chronicler off in favor of some Runeshapers. I've been testing it as-is with a lot of success though, so who knows.

And then there's eDoomy:

Hoarluk Doomshaper, Rage of Dhunia (*6pts)
Troll Axer (6pts)
Earthborn Dire Troll (10pts)
Mulg the Ancient (12pts)
Krielstone Bearer and 3 Stone Scribes (3pts)
Krielstone Stone Scribe Elder (1pts)
Trollkin Runeshapers (Leader and 2 Crew) (4pts)
Janissa Stonetide (3pts)
Troll Whelps (2pts)

I'm trying to make an eDoomshaper force that doesn't rely on the feat. With careful positioning I'm finding that against most assaults I can live with not getting the charge off, then trampling with survivors if the situation becomes too dire. These guys are an absolute bitch to peel off of an objective, and the threat of assassination is pretty dire. If my opponent undercommits to keep guys on his own flag, a half-dead Mulg has a ridiculous threat range with Rush and feat the following turn. If they overcommit that's similarly easy to punish. The Runeshapers are the component I'm not too sure about.

CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT!

I'm not too familiar with Calandra, but outside of the Runeshapers, Doomy's list looks quite solid. The Axer will definitely increase your threat range, and you've got some great bricks in your two dire trolls.

I'm not too sure about Runeshapers either, but their Tremor ability seems really useful in an army that lacks a cheap MAT-boost. And they'll be getting Force Lock (situational, but nice, adds to the 'rock n' brick wall of death' theme the list has).

I am curious to see how the doomy list will work, just seems like if mulg gets popped you lose a decent bit of points in such a small point range.

Thus far I haven't encountered anything that can do significant damage to him at ARM 23 from outside of his monstrous threat range, at least not at 35 points. The biggest thing I'm worried about with a list like this is him getting hit with a SPD debuff which shuts him down utterly.

The speed debuff could be taken care of through the earthborn's animus. Of course, depending on his proximity to rough terrain... A min unit of kriel warriors could take the place of the 3 rune shapers just to get extra bases on the table. Extra bases can be nice to use defensively but could also hinder the large beasts' charges...

The thing is that I still lose the ability to charge, which is a big problem.

Doesn't eDoomy have the banishing ward spell? Or am I thinking of the other version? The banishing ward spell would seem to solve the concern as Mulg could not be targeted by enemy spells...

Be careful, all it takes is one Bronzeback in a 35 pointer, and Mulg may feel the pain. LOL

Too bad the trollkin sorcerer isn't out yet. 1 point and he can purify a unit a turn basically. also has ice bolt.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

Unfortunately he can only purify his client unit, so Mulg would still have to eat the speed penalty.

I haven't played a lot of Skorne, but I should be out-threating the BBT considerably with my eDoomy list, and he won't be able to hit me through the wall, right? I'd definitely be worried about an admonition counter-charge though.

Well, thanks for the input, guys, but it's starting to sound like whatever's going on at PAX this year is a proper 3-list, 50pt deal so I'm going to have to re-think my strategy considerably.
