Really nice stuff, but OhMyGod the postage! Slightly confused as to why the entry level Dungeon Mapper set costs the same to post as the top of the range Ultimate set.

I've seen that quite a bit on kickstarters - I think it's to simplify matters for the company when the come to having to process 100's or even 1000's of orders on the same day.

It's brilliant! It might be to suggestive for some audiences, but it does a good job of branding the company.
It's pretty hard to forget a name like Thundercock.

Total miss. Awkward tiles, expensive, and dwarves forge did it better in every way.
This is one product which there simply is not any room for left on the market unless you can make them obscenely cheap and cheap to ship internationally.

shipping internationally is super expensive as is casting in resin. The models look great too. The kickstarter does offer FREE shipping in the United States. Also, the models are manufactured in the United States and not by underpaid or slave laborers.

International Shipping is not that expensive. How are you planning to ship? I can't imagine that the 'Ultimate Dungeon Set' can't fit into a Large Flat Rate box.
Resin casting isn't 'Super Expensive', but your prices aren't that terrible for the product itself... and really ' the models are manufactured in the United States and not by underpaid or slave laborers.'? That is a stupidly smug comment, especially combined with how obvious it is that you're one of the people running this KS and pretend you aren't.

And?
Your pledge levels already factor in the $18 for domestic Priority mail, so why are you charging that + an additional 78?
Do you need the 12" x 12" x 5-1/2" box for all of your pledge levels? or would the slightly less then ultimate pledges fit into 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" ($60 Int)?
How much does the ultimate set weigh? 3lbs to the UK is only $50 using priority, or $30 First Class.

Mythical Lairs, a similar KS, had international shipping for $60 for its sets *before* the recent price hike in international shipping. Dungeon Stone initially did not ship internationally. Reaper switched to "actual costs" for their KS II international shipping (and also charged sales tax in Texas!) but is subsidizing the price hike. USPS had been prevented from raising their rates, with losses of $5 billion in their last fiscal year. And that was improvement over their $15 billion dollar loss of the previous year. Some quotes from other international shippers, mostly of smaller packages and some eBay: "International mail is a different story. Published prices for all retail international Shipping Services –- Global Express Guaranteed (GXG), Express Mail International (EMI), Priority Mail International (PMI), and Airmail M-Bags -– show an average increase of 14.5 percent (with many services increasing far above that figure). Many small labels and artists ship as much as half of their stock to fans overseas, and this sharp rate increase is the highest since most of those labels began operating." http://www.stereogum.com/1247822/deconstructing-how-the-usps-is-killing-indie/top-stories/lead-story/ "Prices for most international post office shipping has MORE THAN DOUBLED effective this January 27th. The most drastic changes are the low weight first class packages making many cost prohibitive to offer subsidized shipping, and a major deterrence to international world ebay buyers shopping in the USA. " http://www.ebay.com/gds/2013-USPS-Price-Postage-International-Increase-Changes-/10000000176621873/g.html "The international rate change was not publicized, and the USPS website has no news article that details the changes - it took me nearly an hour to work out our new shipping rates by downloading a number of spreadsheets from their website. We were blindsided on the day of the change, losing money for most small orders to shipping expense. These were not small changes, in most cases the Post Office nearly doubled the cost of shipping an international package, including packages to our Canadian neighbors." http://www.npr.org/blogs/therecord/2013/01/29/170498909/rising-postal-rates-squeeze-small-record-labels "Well, I was surprised when I started packing and shipping orders after January 27th. I guess I hadn't been paying attention but apparently international First Class shipping got a 58% rate hike on January 27, I then had to eat those costs... not to mention, I'm sure this will effect my international sales as they amount to near 50% or my overall sales. Thanks USPS! You SUCK! Anyone know of a better carrier for international shipping? I looked up Fedex and used their calculator and for a one pound package shipping to Australia for example, its was going to be $120, that has to be an error right? uuggghhhh...." http://www.mintees.com/talk/202029-how-about-that-international-shipping-58-rate-increase-in-the-us/ "The sad fact is many sellers had already stopped selling to international buyers, a few years back just about everybody in the US would send to the UK, but the numbers have dwindled and I think these increases will put the final ‘nail in the coffin’ for US to UK (Europe)shipping. COMC is at the moment the best way to go, but how long before they start to feel the squeeze on their profits and end the flat rate price they now have. ebay postage prices are sometimes comical – $50.00? and clearly show they are either: not interested in posting overseas, don’t want to post overseas or not researching prices." http://thewaxfantastic.wordpress.com/2013/02/04/usps-price-increases-and-the-impact-on-international-buyers/

Why diss HA products when most of your potential customer base probably has HA moulds or will populate YOUR dungeon with HA castings?
HA is USA based, long-running, successful, has a great product reputation and great service reputation with great postage rates. (it also has physical product, not renders of it)
"This is definitely NOT hirst arts"
Clever?
probably not...

To be honest, when I read that line I didn't take it a disparaging HA, but rather reassuring potential backers that this set of terrain is more sophisticated than a generic HA dungeon. Or to put it another way, that these terrain pieces were wholly original and not based off of templates that have been around on the market for years.

Usually, when someone sells terrain that even *looks* like HA, some HA fancaster jumps down their throat. One of the first things Mystical Lairs had to do was explain that they were a licensed HA distributor, and this didn't stop ML from being attacked. So, of course, ThunderNaughtyBits says they're not HA, and some DD soapboxer jumps down his throat. Eh, KS is not a store.
