I have terrible lighting and no money to purchase light bulbs and lamps, so first impressions are with mood lighting!



Still need to improve the actual glow on the weapon, more detailed pics below with daylight.




My fave feature is the writing on the hull

Chimera

Lets throw some more armour in the firing line then?

No more have been purchased since these have been finished, which I take as being a great leap forward in self-control

Starting with the eventual command tank; Leman Russ Vanquisher.







Am enjoying the little icicles on the turret cabling, but still need to improve them.



Then on to the Leman Russ.





With a wonky blue-tacced sponson (shush you)



And the Chimera; one of the older versions of the tank with a lower profile turret.







And if you can read it, the graffiti being a favourite extra for me on the front of the Chimera; (there is a question mark under there)

I really like the symbols and writing on the hulls, great details. Looking good!

I got tinkering with the filters again after taking some snapshots during a weekend game.

Gotta love GIMP for this, free photoshop that there are loads of tutorials for online.

I love it, me doing Blood Pact, its good to see some traitor guard.

Semi-doubling up, next up is the Hades, whirr, splat. Technically still a tank, and as just clarified by the Forgeworld Team, one with a BS of 4 for its melta cannon thing! Yaaay.

That is some niiice armour you have...really like the snow effect and the heretical grafitti!

If it were me I'd be tempted to stick the corpse of a loyalist Guardsman attached to one of the tanks via barbed wire or something.....although that might obscure some of the detail you've got going on there which is pretty damn awesome!

Realised I should probably post this as well. Clarification that the Hades BS is 4 from FW themselves

I've not been able to paint for some time, and have still yet to be able, but the new Traitor Guard Imperial Army book convinced me to roll out these cheap Sentinel beauties and see how they do.

These were originally ebay jobbies but I wanted to re purpose them. My main aim was to make them predatory and skulking.


As you can see in the original ebay image and the pose of them, along with most sentinels they are fairly upright and I wanted something closer to the drop Sentinels. Compact.



This meant I had to really chop and remove a good chunk of the hip joints and the canopy as well to shrink their profile low low.

Added plenty of damage and tarnish, and completed. I've magnetised a good few weapons as well so if I wanted, these could be drop sentinels too.




Now I just need some more free time to finish the Wyvern, another Chimera, and another Leman Russ!

So nice! I demand to see more of this. The sons are so cool in the fluff and you do them justice with this.

I dig it, has that Gaunt's Ghosts feel. Really love the winter theme going on; something you don't see enough.
