So, my buddy and I were discussing armies, and I mentioned how I slowly want to get my feet wet in a space marine army, but I wanted something that truly emulated the fluff I am evolving around it. He tipped me off to a site that another of our friends had shown him, and I have quickly taken a liking to the models he showed me. So, I leave it to you guys to help me out here; Will these models make suitable counts-as Black Templar successors?

Spoiler:

The idea I had was that these would be regular marines, and with some good conversion work on the arms and such, would be good at carrying some magnetized equipment like some bolt pistols and chainswords. Or a boltgun or two. General alternative suggestions are also appreciated. On a complete side note though...no idea what I would do when it comes to terminators or the scouts...

This horror, this abomination, has thought and purpose that functions on an unimaginable, galactic scale and all we can do is try to stop the swarms of bioengineered monsters it unleashes upon us by instinct. We have given the horror a name to salve our fears; we call it the Tyranid race, but if is aware of us at all it must know us only as Prey."

Without a scale comparison, I'd say they look a bit big, but they do look awesome enough and I would play them.

Yes, but I mean that they look more Centurion size than Marine size :p

I was all ready to say no when I first read Puppet Wars they'd be way too small but yeah the Puppets War models would be fine.

They are terminator size. The one smaller version are marine size.

I was pretty positive from the get go that these were meant to be counts-as Terminators. They showed some in progress counts-as Centurions a little while ago that were really nice; I think they're somewhere in the news and rumor section.

They don't really look like Space marines. I wonder how you'd be able to fit them into the fluff.
That aside, I would accept a squad of them as Terminators, I don't think they are very suitable as ordinary marines.
Puppetswar has really some amazing models and bits btw.

Pauldron's aren't big enough. Other marines will laugh at them.

Those would be some nice looking terminators, might look into these myself.

What is your fluff reason for them looking like this?

These are clearly meant to be terminators, and I'd have no problem with you using them as such.

I would look a little askance at them being used as power-armor marines, since they are very obviously something else from the Space Marine codex.

Long lost STC, salvaged archeotech, recently rediscovered advanced human world came out from behind a warp storm, early unit of advanced power armour gifted from the big E to an elite unit that went dowm the road to get a fish supper and were never seen again, until now. The guns on the two sides actually fire ketchup and soss

Story-in-motion is a chapter designed to wage war on the Iron Warriors, and they need some suitably durable and rugged armor to do it.

Agreed. I planned to put marine shoulder pads on them, once I get the final design for a master mold of some shoulder pads.
