DakkaDakka,

Was curious what is your most powerful 750pt list with models that you own? Which Codex would come out on top and the reasons? Taking everything in consideration at a low point level can be of the upmost importance! Discuss

For 751 points of only models I own for the strongest, but still only suitable for friendly gaming, list:

Mephiston

Spriest with jump pack

7 assault marines

5 sniper scouts with cloaks

Storm Raven with MM/LC

Basically the assault marines shield for Mephy while the Spriest gives him FNP and FC. Mephy does the heavy lifting. Everyone else just cleans up.

Variation of this for exactly 750, still with only models I own, that I could try running at a tourney but would still probably lose pretty hard:

Terminator Libby with Wings and a situational power (Fear, Lance, Shield, Sword, Rage, whatever)

Spriest with jump pack, melta bombs

10 assault marines with two melta guns, power weapon

5 sniper scouts with cloaks

Stormraven with MM/LC and Hurricane Bolters

this one doesn't really need explanation.

Salamanders 746pts, though this would work better as White Scars

HQ: Chapter Master
1 Chapter Master + Thunder Hammer + Artificer Armour + Space Marine Bike + The Shield Eternal

Troops: Bike Squad
7 Bike Squad + Grav-gun x2
1 Attack Bike + Multi-melta
1 Biker Sergeant + Combi-grav

Troops: Bike Squad
7 Bike Squad + Flamer x2
1 Attack Bike + Heavy Bolter
1 Biker Sergeant + Combi-weapon (what type depends on what you expect to face)

The Chapter Master uses up 1/3rd of the points, but he pulls his weight well in these small games. Mostly because it's very difficult for your opponent to kill him with only 750pts of firepower. Use him to shield your bikes, or use the bikes to shield him, then split him off from the main group to go kill something (like that pesky riptide, wraithknight, or IC).

The bikes can be broken into combat squads or kept as blobs as required by the mission. Grav/MM squad delivers low ap fire and can deal with AV14 armor in a pinch, the HB/flamer squad deals with hoards.

It should be noted that our local meta has no flyers, and this list can't deal with them at all.

Mine would be Tau:

6 Firewarriors 54
6 Firewarriors 54

FIREBASE SUPPORT CADRE
Riptide: Ion, FB, EWO
3 Missilesides: Missile Drone 207
3 Missilesides: 195

750 exactly. 6 tank hunting broadsides and a Riptide at 750

Necrons: 750 exactly

HQ:
Destroyer lord with weave and MSS

TROOPS:
10x Immortals with gauss
10x Immortals with gauss

FAST ATTACK:
6x Wraiths with 2x Whip Coils 4x Particle Casters

The plan is simple, destroyer lords and wraiths charge forward drawing fire and charging any close-combat threats. The immortal squads advance right behind them until they get in rapid fire range and then kill infantry or tank hunt with glances.

I think the preferred enemy everything wraiths, along with the destroyer lord to issue challenges will be able to overcome any enemy close combat unit at this points level.

The immortal squads are very resilient with 3+ armor and 5+ RP and strength five rapid fire is very effective against basic infantry, so should have no problem holding objectives and thinning enemy squads

Let me tell you from experience that what is essentially 20 MEQ with FNP is not at all resilient in any way shape or form. You get them about 100 points cheaper than I do (and mine get jump packs), but that doesn't change how tough they are. Neither does having better guns. That still does not make them any more resilient. No more than my pistol/ccw combo makes mine any more resilient.

I would probably argue for Eldar with a list like this

(100) Farseer
(255) 5 Fire Dragons : Wave Serpent- tl Scatter Laser, Shuriken Cannon, Holofields
(60) 5 Rangers
(210) 5 Dire Avengers : Wave Serpent- tl Scatter Laser, Shuriken Cannon, Holofields
(125) Falcon- Bright Lance

3 Durable tanks with scoring units that can be safely tucked inside of them until the last minute. It has the fire power to outshoot most lists, and against lists that can outshoot it (Tau), it can snipe out the troops with the Serpent Shields from outside HYMP range.

This is a good list I like it . The issue you have is Tau will reserve troops and coral your tanks. Whilst firing the shield opens up vulnerability for S9 ordnance blasts from the Riptide. Its strong though.

Maybe a bit cheesy but hows this?

Commander with NSJ, CCN, PEN, MSSS, Iridium

Riptide with SMS, HBC, EWO, VT
Riptide with SMS, IO, EWO

X6 Fire warrior
X6 Fire warrior

Sniper Drone Team with 3 marksman, 3 sniper drones.

749 points

Edit: Or is this a 0-1 FOC except troop thing? I'll adjust as needed =P

This is a good all around army, you just need to focus down opposing troops against list like Tau that bring very few.

I second this. I have seen it before and let me tell you. I hated my life after playing it. 3 Heldrakes is a pain in my *** at any point cost, but my poor Dakka enriched Orks were helpess. Even my pretty little Eldar were just toys for my Chaos playing friend. Possibly the best list ever? Yes. Will everyone hate you for it? Yes.

It's all in the rolls.

BRINGIN' DA CHEESE!! Damn you flingitnow, I love you. Always the grossest sh#t, with any army, at any points level.

I would definitely like to see these two lists go at it, but I gotta say I think the tau would pull through. Eldar don't have the weight of fire fire to wear down the misslesides without getting inside of their range.

Not sure if I'd call it the most Powerful, but this is what I run. More of a TAC 750.

Overlord Scythe/Weave/Orb/MSS/Phaeron
Tremortek

15 Warriors
10 Immortals (Gauss) *Tesla would work as well, I just don't have any.
5 Wraiths

I would be fairly confident of beating the Eldar with my list. Though I imagine the double Riptide list would cause me more problems, yet the double Riptide list wouldn't do well against the Gravtank Eldar army.

Troops-PCs-30
4 infantry squads-200 autocannons x2/vox =25
4 infantry squads-200 autocannons x2/vox =25

hmm....maybe have the lynx with a sonic lance (usually not the most optimal weapon loadout i know) with scatter laser is tl though, so should burn threw every void sheild at once and still have enough hits to kill a lot of guardsmen.
But maybe not.

I think I'd do something like:

Chaos Space Marines-
Warlord: Daemon Prince of Tzeentch + Wings + Black Mace (245)
HQ: Daemon Prince of Khorne + Wings + Axe of Blind Fury (235)
Troops: two minimal squads of cultists (50 apiece)
Fast Attack: Heldrake (170)

I ain't winning if I don't table you, but the sad part is it's 3 units totally capable of doing it.

I took a 5th ed. tyranid list to a 750 small tourney and tore through everyone with it, so I'd say it's probably pretty good:
2x Flyrants w/ dual devourers.
10 termagant
Tervigon with adrenal glands and toxin sacs as 2nd troop.
750 on the dot.

Obviously wouldn't work in 6th, as you need 30 gants to make the gon a troop.
