I really want a 500 pt dark angel army that is based of Greenwing and Deathwing.

I have:

HQ:

Librarian\Company master

Tactical squads

Deathwing terminators

Saving up for a land raider.

Suggestions welcome
(I don't mind 1000 pt, 1500 pt or 2000 pt suggestions either)

At 500 pts you can't do much. Fulfilling the FOC with 1 Termiesquad already is 425.

I'd suggest looking around this very forum for various DA lists, there are quite some around. Word of advice though: Don't use Greenwing.

Basically do this (hooray for Dark Vengeance!)
1000 points

HQ: Belial with TH/SS

Elites: 5 Deathwing Knights

Troops:
5 tactical marines with a plasma cannon (half the DV tactical squad)

5 terminators, one chain fist, one assault cannon (DV squad)

5 terminators, one chainfist, one assault cannon (DV squad)

This is the best Deathwing Greenwing list you can get.

Put those tacticals on a home objective and all your other objectives in the opponents deployment zone, Deathwing Assault one termi squad and Belial's Knights squad in, unleash some hell. Deep strike in more termies. Unleash some more hell. Hope you survive to turn 5

because C:SM marines are better so what is the point?

^Propably the fact that he likes his army fluff/looks wise and wants to use C: DA due to
a) rules
b) some (special) characters
c) units that C:SM can't have.

Why not Greenwing tough? Because Tactical Marines are pretty bad troop choice and DA have better ones.

Either Death/Ravenwing are both better options, because one of them has superior mobility and other gets in enemy face T1/2 with 2+/5++ guys.

A combination does however work. Such as Ravenwing list with Tactical/Scout squads to do the scoring.

Just saying, i really want my army to do something like this:

Scouts+Snipers creep in, cause chaos etc
Greenwing Jumpack troopers hurtle in to back 'em up/ secure objectives
Deathwing/Knights storm in, secure objectives, blow stuff up... you get the idea

I run tri-wing/gold wing, whatever the silly name is people call it. I enjoy it but I realize the single Tac squad in a rhino is for objective capturing purposes only.

What on earth is the Triwing/Goldwing?!?

Deathwing + Ravenwing + Greenwing

Green wing is stronger then Deathwing in my opinion. At higher point games deathwing are very weak, there wont be a lot on the board and your opponent will shoot them off before they can do anything. Ravenwing is by far the best, the devastation banner, with black knights, and a Darkshroud are insanely powerful.

If you want to run greenwing, get a landraider and deathwing knights. Not a lot of DA players do this but deathwing knights are insanely strong. There W5, T5 when grouped up, which also makes the hq with them T5, to help stave off instant death. I have not seen a lot that can stand up to an interrogator chaplain and death wing knights. Put them in a land raider and its a really nasty unit. Also DA do play a lot like Space Marines but that is a not bad thing, cheap whirlwinds, make really good heavy support. Libby's have divination, tac marines are pretty solid. If your looking to play Greenwing, those few things are very good. Also if playing green wing, a quad gun is kind of needed because the DA codex has no good anti air.
