On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

It's not just this thread though, but a continuous run of 'not being very nice to people' (I will put diplomatically).

Of course there is the ignore feature, but the problem is you still get to see it when someone else responds in quotes.

Yohdrin - did we actually make a firm bet regarding the pricing? (they do look very nice though!)

It has knees, though. Couldn't it just...bend over and punch gak?

I'm just saying, this isn't the first time I've seen someone say this but it seems like a really easy issue to get around. To me, anyway.

"Salutem Titan" looks more like "may i hail as a Titan" (i.e. a jussive subjunctive) since Salutem is both in the accusative case and a noun. If you want welfare/well/healthy titan from what youve written it'd have to be "Salus Titan". But that would mean more the Titan is welfare/ healthy. The proper translation into latin would be either "Salutans Titan" or "Salutatus Titan" depending on what exactly you meant by welfare.

Its baneblade price, which is £85 from GW, and £70 ish from the discounters.

First, the model looks really stupid.

Secondly, $140, rofl

Keep it up GW, you'll be out of business sooner rather than later.

The model doesn't look stupid, you only think it looks stupid.
It annoys me when opinions are said as facts.

Thanks for the clarification, Google translate is not exactly known for exact accuracy.

When I said "welfare" It was a rather tongue-in-cheek way of using the term "On Welfare" as the descriptor we use here in the U.S. to denote someone who doesn't work and in generally has limited income/is sustained by the Government for various reasons. (I DO NOT want to start a discussion on welfare in this thread, the above is purely an explanation in general terms for iddy00711. I REPEAT: I DO NOT want to start a discussion about welfare in this thread. Thank you)

I was noting the fact that my income isn't great (I make due, but without going into detail I'm a first responder and LOVE seeing people run stop lights, that's your clue ) and that I'll *never* be able to afford a proper titan kit on my income with my other bills and expenses taking priority. I could scrounge for a year and buy a Warhound, but would never get the chance to use said Warhound but perhaps once a year, if that often. I'd rather save for shorter term and purchase the odd tank or sentinel kit when I need/want one.

However, I suppose I should have used "Poor Man's Titan" in the Latin, which is "Pauperis Titan" in Latin rather than "Welfare". Or perhaps "Cheap Titan" which is "Vivamus Titan" according to the translator.

I just want to denote that this is the closest I'm ever going to get to fielding an actual honest-to-goodness titan unless I hit the lottery and am able to fly my happy butt over to the U.K. and buy something directly (Because, let's face it, if you won the lottery and wanted one, you would totally go all out and go get it yourself, right? )

Anyway, much obliged for the linguistic help there iddy

Take it easy.

I mean, "I think this model's stupid, therefore everyone else must also think that" is the kind of self-evidently dumb statement that doesn't really invite response.

That Dreamforge sale is a good'un.

Off topic, I also think the idea that Zwei shouldn't defend himself from the clickbaiting accusations is laughable, and a good example of the weird dakka gang-up culture I've seen.

If you're accusing him of something but simultaneously telling him he shouldn't reply or defend himself, whether that's by telling him "to stop" or pulling this faux-high ground "I'm above listening to your reply or discussing my accusations further" act, then all you're doing is bullying. If you're right, any defense Zwei made would be hollow, and we'd all see it. Telling him not to defend himself is pretty low.

I'm not the forum police, I just wanted to voice my dissent.

Don't play Imperial Guard so I'm not relevant when it comes to buying (not that I ever would at that price), but I personally think that either head is too small, or the hump is too big, makes it kinda funny looking up top, a bit of smallheaditis. Otherwise they captured the baby-titan feel for the Imperials pretty well.

That's a good call!

It has been so long since I played a game of SPACE MARINE/TITAN LEGIONS, I forgot about that option!

Maybe that's the direction FW will go with their first add-on kit?

Though I'd much prefer that the lance be in plastic, and not resin...

The smart money is on these being available to pretty much all Imperial armies, at least. They aren't an IG toy.

I'm primarily an Eldar player with an army I haven't even finished yet, and the Dark Angels half of a DV box I bought to get templates, scatter dice and the mini rule book, so I still don't think Knights are all that relevant to me in the immediate future

Clearly I meant Imperial Knights are not relevant to me, rather than "knights" in general. I may get that Wraithknight one day, when I find one at a reasonable price.

Was just posting to say I thought the model hit all the markers for fitting into the aesthetic, it just has an off putting tiny head.

Ya know, I have a Leviathan and while I love it I think I'll be picking up one or two of these. Of course I'll be keeping my Leviathan as my Warhound stand-in . I'm in love with the look and it'll fit my dark mechanicus to a T.

@RiTides

I think it depends on the head but I agree that they fit well with the leviathans. Additionally they seem to be perfectly in the middle size wise between the 4.5" and 8-8.5" Leviathans so it really is my perfect knight size for my "Warhound" (Leviathan mounted on a raised base to be 10" tall).

Hulk, yep, I'm also happy about the size as I plan to use the 4.5" tall ones (and maybe pose them shorter, hopefully get them just below 4"? And closer to Contemptor height) as deepstriking Ironclads in my army, and the GW model as a Knight to go with them. Should make for a very striking force.

I think your 10" tall one will work perfectly as a Warhound next to these GW models . So in the end, I'm quite happy that it's in the middle of the Dreamforge offerings, after all... more options to make awesome stuff, rather than a straight stand-in.

Quick question- is there anything keeping a Knight from walking on as a reserve, instead of deploying on the table?

So what is the problem. A battle cannon fires at ordnance 1, and the rapid-fire battle cannon fires at ordnance 2 for double the shots. Sounds rapid-firey to me.

Back on topic( although following the Latin discussion earlier, I'm now in the mood to watch Life of Brian), I do like the Black and Silver colour scheme although I am more tempted by a red scheme.

Its been awhile since I did large flat areas in red so I may have to practice on something else first.

Does anyone happen to have a photo of the 15mm scale Dreamforge Titan next to some of the GW Kits, say a contemport, Riptide, Wraithknight, etc....?

Would love to see that!
