Subject: 200 point Guard Kill Team

i am entering a small kill team tournament and have not decided on my final list i have 3 possible lists to consider
The first is the most obvious Plasma Vets with carapace in a chimera - 200
the second is Mogul Kamir with 4 rough riders, a storm trooper squad with 1 plasma and a melta bomb with rough riders = 200
or the other option would be
storm troopers with 2 plasma, and sft has a plasma pistol, and 2 scout sentinel 1 with and auto cannon the other with a multi laser = 200

I would definitely take list 1 out of the ones you have listed. But why not take an Infantry Platoon instead? Guard can put out an insane amount of firepower and bodies in kill team. I don't think you are doing either with your lists. I take: Platoon Command Squad 40 -Autocannon Infantry Squad 60 -Autocannon Infantry Squad 60 -Autocannon Special Weapons Squad 40 -2 Sniper Rifles or Grenade Launchers 200 31 bodies on the ground in 200 points is very tough to deal with. Give the Autocannon Teams some special rules (relentless, tank hunters, armorbane, etc) and you are good to go!

This was going to be my suggestion, I would try to run a platoon as massed bodies on the ground seems like the way to go.

-Plasma Gun
-Melta Gun
-Autocannon
Vet Squad
-3 Flamers
-Autocannon
Although it doesn't have as many bodies they can still do quite well.

How do the flamers work for you, are they usefull?
The vet with power axe sounds like wasted points to me with a single wound an unwieldy weapon, and a bad armoursave. How does he work for you?
A list with a chimera sounds realy nasty, 3 strength 6 shots + 3 strength 5 shots + whatever is shooting from the back can all choose to shoot at different targets + the front armour facing of 12. I don't think many people you play against with it will have acounted for in this game relatively heavy armour.

3 flamers work well for me for just general purging  . For the power axe, I always like to give my leader something, just a force of habit. And since guards int is 3, most enemies get to go first so I prefer +1 S and AP 2. Works well for me at least. Actually all the units are a single unit while in a transport so they all have to shoot at the same target, but it can still be different than the vehicles.
