Me and my wife were discussing what the Primarchs would look like if they were women instead. All going through the same trials that they did. What would they look like during the Great Crusade and the Heresy. I think it proposes a good bit of speculation. What does everyone else think about this?

I guess they would look like their male "counterpart", no?

Angrona buff, red and brutal-looking.
Nighthauntess pale and creepy
Sanguina beautiful, elegant and with wings.
Mortaria gaunt and tall.

Like they look now .... just female, no?

I can't see why they would look any different than being a female version of the male primarch.

What the heck is she wearing? That armour will in no way protect her. Oh wait. this is female armour. The less you wear, the better your save.

In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Female Primarchs would be far more terrifying than oversexed high schools girls.

It'd be more like:

Oversexed Angron

Well aside from the bitz I don't think they'd be terribly different. Though, assuming the Emperor is still male, I think it would be a more even mix of male and female primarchs OR The Emperor would be an Empress. Also Marines would probably be a mix of men and women if there were female primarchs.

I only know some of the Loyalist Legions well so unfortunately the Chaos boys won't be mentioned here.

Ultramarines: Maccrage was a pretty civilized place so I feel women's rights would've been around. Rouboute could've been Rebecca with no major changes to the fluff.

Dark Angels: Caliban was a pretty Feudal society. I don't recall any women being mentioned in the 1st Horus Heresy book as matter of fact. I feel like the Primarch would've been more sheltered until Lioness'La Johnson had enough, defied her father, and started shaking up her planet's male dominated society while still maintaining the courtly aspects of the culture.

Salamanders: On a planet like Noctorne I feel that as long as you can help your village they don't care about your sex. The 'challenge' that the Emperor and Vulkan would probably be unchanged as well. Honestly there probably wouldn't be a big change.

Space Wolves: Russ would have established her dominance as the tribal leader and probably become like Sejuani from League of Legends. One the Emperor arrived and won I feel like she would be likely to turn to Chaos actually as, after a lifetime of being laughed at by the other tribal leaders despite winning control of the planet, she'd spring for the chance to defeat the man who made her a servant once more.

Just my opinions. Sorry about the incomplete list. I don't know the backround of Chaos Legions well and only about half of the Loyalists

Ugh, stop with the fan-service female armour. It'd kill the wearer faster than anything else.

But yeah, apart from slightly more armoured chests (I'd imagine the breastplate would need more armor) they'd probably act just like their male counterparts.

Probably a lot more emotional though, and maybe the heresy wouldn't have happened because daddy would see his girls crying and try and help.

I agree on these. Those are the most easy to think of as female since their respective cultures value core values. Some of the ones that eventually turned to chaos are not as easy to imagine. I think Angron would still be brutal. Magnus to be Amazon with golden skin and red hair. Mortarion is one I havent figured out how to view as a female.

Mortarion would be much the same femals as male.

For visual aids try looking up Urgothoa from Pathfinder (deity of disease) or Hel from norse myth.

I'd like to see images of female versions of the Primarchs that aren't pure cheesecake. I mean, more than a few of the real primarchs weren't attractive at all by any stretch of the imagination (Curze, for example) and those that were were only attractive in that uber-buff hyper-muscled kind of way. I'd like to see some super-butch female primarchs, or a version of Curze-ina who isn't some pale goth chick, but instead some twisted deviant nightmare. (You know...like Curze.)

Yeah, I see Angron as a massive armored woman who acts like Mother Russia from Kick Ass 2

As for YET ANOTHER female SM thread....

Have fun guys. If you want a sneak preview of how this thread will turn out, just go back a few pages from the one from last week.

This has absolutely nothing do do with Space marines and female hormones, or other wackyness. We are just wondering what Primarchs would look like if they were depicted as heroic female characters instead of heroic male characters.

I think that Mortarion would give the impression of what I would imagine a fantasy female Necromancer to look like, but with more armor. Unfortunately every image online I find is nothing but bare abs and big, barely contained tits. Which is especially creepy considering they are on Necromancer art.

I know they would be scary ass women. Like when Mother Russia throws a running lawnmower through a cop car's windshield in Kick Ass 2.

Well, if you are keeping true to the 80's aesthetic of 40K, heck yeah. Tina Turner hair and spikes. See my pic of "Angron" from Diablo.
