Hey everyone, with the imminent release of the Imperial knights! I wanted to put them on a secret weapon base... The problem with that, is that the knight's base is a new size (quite a bit larger than the flyer/MC base).
I had an idea in my head for a city-style base, using some pieces of the GW buildings (basilica, munitorum, etc), and some other scenery such as bricks and slate pieces.
I'm wondering though, can the slate and ceramic be primed and then painted? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it will work just fine.

Yup! Slate takes very well to primer and paint. I use slate a ton for my own bases and have never had any issues with it taking paint.

Bricks work fine too, I've used crushed brick on bases before.
Only issue would be trying to paint something smooth (like ceramic with a glaze) even then just rough it up with some sand paper and spray/paint away!
Post pics when you're done!

Will do! Hopefully I'll have enough time to do it this weekend. Automatically Appended Next Post: I think I might use sprue bricks instead of ceramics, just for the cost factor, and that it looks kind of cooler.
