It seems that half of all space marine art depicts them surrounded on all sides, just mercilessly beating down wave after wave of the oncoming horde. I have a buddy who plays such a horde army, and I think it'd be pretty amusing if I attempted to create the most absurdly expensive single unit I could, and tempt him to throw his entire army at it. Ideally I want it to survive being charged by at least 60 boyz and 20 nobz with klaws at once. Here's what i've come up with so far...I just want to know if it's legal.

HQ 1- Pedro Kantor
HQ 2- Chaplain, no upgrades
HQ 3- (double force org) Librarian, mastery level 2
HQ 4- (double force org) Librarian, mastery level 2
HQ 5- (allied detachment) Apothecary Shen
10 honor guard, power swords, standard of the emperor ascendant

Is there anything else I'm missing here? No suggestion is too absurd!

Not sure what you're looking for here. You have no troops so its not a legal list, you just want your buddy to throw his army at this unit so what does legality have to do with it? Just put all the models you want on the tabke and have him chuck his army at it.

Obviously I would field troops to make the list legal. I was asking if the UNIT ITSELF is legal.

If you're going for absurdly expensive and killy you might as well use the Clan Raukkan supplement as your main and get Chapter Master Smash F#$ker in there. Gorgon's Chain FTW. Him and Shen in the same unit is a great combo.

Oh man, how could I have forgotten dear, sweet Smashf*&cker? Still think Pedro's +1 attack and preferred enemy might be better in the long run

@obsidiankatana: That list is illegal. The second primary detachment has to be from the same army as the first, meaning it'd also have to be Clan Raukaan tactics. Couldn't bring Calgar and Tigurius.

Seeing as we're clearly throwing points total out the window, how about:
a 10 man blob of deathwing knights out of Dark Angels for majority toughness 5 and 3++ saves,
Azrael to lead (4++ saves on any guys not rocking storm shields),
a boat-load of librarians to fill out the rest of the HQ slots, one of them is Ezekiel for +1 weapon skill to all the Dark Angel units in this particular unit, and a lvl3 psyker for the sake of deny the witch,
a perfidious relic of the dark for Fear/Adamantium Will,
and then Shen with another salamanders librarian?

I dunno if Shen can bring Honor Guard rather than just a command squad. If he can, you just have them all roll with honor guard instead. Significantly cheaper and you lose Fear/Adamandium will and majority toughness T5, but still keep a 4++ on everyone because of Azrael.

Can't bring Cypher because Dark Angels but with that many guys rolling psychic powers, you could roll till you got Invisibility, then roll hoping for Telekine Dome on top of that.

I see an entry stating that the second allied detachment must be from the same codex as the first, but not for primaries. That in mind, swap Chapter Master McSmash for Vulkan or Mir'san.

Blood angels. 30 Death Company with Lemartes added in, various weapons.
Gabriel Seth.
Dante for hit and run.
Brother Corbulo and 8 other Sanguinary priests armed with various loadouts.

All you need is a group of 5 scouts somewhere in the back and you have a legal single FOC list. Still have the option of an ally chapter for a couple more IC's to join the squad, but with just the BA, you're looking at 42 guys in one unit, plus 11 more if you dual force org for 9 more priests and two more HQ's.

It's also literally the size of a large army point wise just for the unit. :x

My suggestion for the list (forgot to add this earlier), would be to take SW allies w rune priest and Logan - RP for prescience (gives unit rerolls on all hits! And Logan for his ability to hand out special rules.
