This thing took over 10 hours to complete. It is an OOP metal Space Marine Captain forged in 1990. The Crimson Fist insignia is a decal. I will gladly answer any questions and comments are welcome!

Looks like your paint was a bit too thick, the finish is grainy. It also kind of has that faded look of too much Vallejo Mat Varnish. I would suggest thinning a bit more, increasing your distance and cutting your vallejo sealer with about 60% water.

Keep it up, you'll get the hang of it.

It does look slightly grainy in the pics but I believe that is from the dry brushed paint. I did go pretty heavy on the matte coat though LOL. thank you for the feedback!

Great lettering on the shoulder! You can restore vibrancy with a light satin or gloss coat then you try matte again or leave it satin.

I thought about using a satin varnish to brighten it a little but I like the dull/flat color to the armor. I may not put the matte varnish on so heavy in the future but this guy is solid

Thanks for the compliment by the way That lettering only took two tries, The first try was not centered so I used a q-tip with some rubbing alcohol to remove it and I tried again!
