Has anybody bought any Apocalypse formations for Warhammer 40,000, such as a legionnair warband, emperor's wrath artillery company or a baleful necropolis for example?

IIRC the apoc formations from GW’s site are their "one-click, zero-savings” type. They do offer some deals on some bundles, generally ones that have their own box, not just web features.

When buying bundles from GW, always make sure you want everything you are buying and price out things individually to see what kind of deal you are getting. Some things, like the SM strikeforce, are good deals, saving you money even if you only want 3/4s of the stuff in the box. Others you are are paying full price anyway, so buy it separately and don’t pick up the things you are “meh” on.

But to step away from my standard "Caveat Emptor” boilerplate and answer your question: no, I haven’t.

I bought them when you actually got a discount. Now, I see the formations as good lols when I am feeling depressed.

I own most of the Tyranid Apocalypse Formations.
They were all bought piecemeal.

Like Alex, I own two of the Adepta Sororitas formations, but they were collected over time, not in any bundle.

The only formations I buy as a bundle are from FW. I picked up the sentry pylon formation and saved a chunk of cash. But the GW formation bundles are just one clicks with no savings.

My army strategy has always been "one of everything, 2 of the important things". So I have very little to gain from buying multiple copies of the same model.

No I have not, nor do I see myself doing it in the near future.

I don't really play games above 1.5k, and I find that with my marines at least I have enough of everything to mix things up, so no, not really.
