So, I'd remove the regular guards and take more veterans, hitting on a 3 plus as opposed to a 4 plus, and taking forward sentry on all of your squads gives them a +1 cover save, but replace your lascannons with auto cannons, same power vs. tanks, but a lot more versatile. you should still be around the same point cost. so the changes aren't much different, but add a lot more survival ability and versatility to your army.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

Vets would be more expensive and considering Im using a ADL i cant see the FS being useful. I took the Lascannons because Im going up against BA, GK, SW, DA all of which use landraiders, so I need to kill them asap.

Thanks for the response

What other Leman Russ Variants do you have? I'd be considering the Demolisher variants like the Executioner and Demolisher over the standard LRBT variants predominantly.

I would run with a demolisher or something, but I honestly come up against long fangs, grey hunters, death company and all the 3 armor saves. So a 72" insta kill large blast is something I kinda needed filling in my list, if there's anything else that does it better and more efficiently then Ill happily use that. Or do you think a demolisher is still better?

Well, myself I'd take a Demolisher over a Vanquisher even if its got Pask because of the dual role capability - a S10 AP2 ordnance hit is going to hurt a tank hard, and can also flatten an entire squad. Plus, it saves you a ton of points.

If you ever see Monstrous Creatures the Executioner is quite good at handling them, and is more reliable overall - you're more likely to hit at least something, and its not too far fetched that you do as much damage as a Battlecannon or Demolisher cannon perfect hit. The amount of times I've lost games because my large pie plate dispensers had a riot first turn and completely fluffed it at the turning point missing everything I've lost count of.

That said, I wouldn't take plasma cannon sponsons on it. Hell, I wouldn't take them full stop on any tank just because I know how that with the bouts of crap luck I get sometime It'd be fatal and lose me a game with those gets hot rolls stripping the HP's.

Hmm the problem I have with demolishers is the 24" range, If Im having to use it at that range, there already too close.

There awesome but I feel for what I want which is long range AT then vanquisher does that better.

Feel free to tell me otherwise(Not sarcasm)

Canberra, Down Under

Strip down those Lascannons and replace them with Autocannons. Try to avoid mixing roles - Lasguns can't hurt Vehicles and a Lascannon can only kill a single dude from a squad, either is wasting the others potential.

To compensate for lost AT, replace a Hellhound with another Vendetta and put one of the Vets in it. Vendettas are amaze-balls.

Also, if you want Super-Serious-Kill-Everything-Anti-Tank Take a 'Dusa with Bastion Breacher shells. Watch it just gak all over everything with an AV.

Also Vox-Casters, if you can squeeze them, for the blob. I fail Orders all day, and re-rolling can be a lifesaver.

I personally like HWTs separate from the Blob so they can do their thing on whatever needs their particular flavour of death.

That's about all I got.

If it is Land Raiders that worry you I would consider getting melta for CSS, PCS and/or Veterans in Chimeras.

I also agree with previous posters that the 30 footsloggers are not optimal in this list. All comer lists are bound to have some anti-infantry weapons and 30 guardsmen on foot is just an invitation to use those to good effect. Putting those infantrymen in a Chimera will force your opponent to shoot at armor the first turn.

Unfortunately I don't have another vendetta as it stands, so adding another isnt a option.

I may have to rethink the list as what your saying is true. I also dont have arty:( Im a Tank/Chimera fanatic unfortuntely.

I want the optimal list with the models I have but not sure what that would be(I have some more models)

Can anyone advise me if I should change anything in my list.

These are the models I have that can be switched around with models in the list.

Creed, Strakken, Primaris Psyker
Lord Commisar
Commisars
6 Psykers
10 Storm troopers
3 ML squads
around 8 more guardsmen

Hellhound is always useful when you play hordes, I would bring the ML's in for the Lascannons, saying that though I always pick ML as my heavy choice with my marines.
