After a long hiatus I want to start playing goblins again. I have discovered to my dismay there are now model caps requiring you to have a hero for every 12 models. How do other goblin players cope with having such reduced numbers? Is there a way round this? Was this brought in specifically to nerf hoard armies?

Horde players still seem to do just fine, the hobbit horde is still killing people everywhere. It was brought in aparently to give the game a more lotr feeling having more heros and captains leading followers into battle, idk. The only way around this is with the new goblin town goblins and using the scribe to summon more goblins. Thats it.

Ah that goblin scribe looks interesting. Particularly the part about bringing them in from any edge. Thanks for that I'll have to try it out.

Still in reserve.

Oh yeah Goblins are still plentiful and a living nightmare for other factions everywhere. Despite the 12-unit cap their heroes and captains and whatnot are dirt, dirt cheap so now for every 12 grunts you have a tougher one to deal with and there's still an awful lot of them.

It really makes me wish LoTR:SBG has more crowd control siege engines.
