Metal Slug
Pros: The nearest thing to Napoleon out of Dominion Tank Police available. Comes assembled and painted.
Cons: Very expensive. Looks more toylike than Napoleon.
I wish they had done it as a polystyrene kit, which would have been cheaper and make conversion seem less of a desecration.
The Chinese actually have you covered on that. They not only made a plastic Metal Slug kit, but they made several kits! All unofficial of course, but they look pretty decent from what I've seen of them.
@Space Ranger - The Assault Kingdom figures are just straight action figures. No building involved and aside from the Neo Zeong, they're pretty cheap, too.

Thanks. I just saw an unboxing on youtube so I have a little bit better idea of the size. I would love to get pieces of them for TAG conversions.

The spidertank is pretty swell. Might pick that one up. I liked some of the ACV models but I preferred the AC4 style overall.

My main problem with the AC models, regardless of generation, is that they don't release individual parts. I want to have my AC from in game on my desk, god dammit!

They did start out with that concept in mind. If you recall, they did release arm and head sets, but they haven't done that in a good long time and I think they're all out of production now. At the very least, the kits are still modular.

Loving this thread. Some fantastic models that break away from European norm.
I have been playing Firestorm Armada and I have pre-ordered Planetfall and then an idea popped into my head. Some great Narritive gameplay could be had.
Firestorm Armada with Boarding action leading to Spacehulk and then planetary invasion leading to Planetfall.
I am lucky in the fact that I get to play these boardgames with my sons so we don't worry to much about the fluff and we just go with what is cool.
This is my chosen Spacehulk Space Ship Yamato 2199. Never seen the show unfortunately! This is in the post somewhere at the moment:-
I am a big fan of the alt ww2 look so this is perfect. I plan on splitting the back plates over the engines to look like damage that would have lead it to be stranded in the warp for eons.
Again, thanks for the inspirational thread.

Here's a comparison. The one in the middle is mostly stock, the one on the left is a heavily modded, but still about the same height as stock. The one on the right is a 1/72 Macross model.
The bases for the robogear mechs are the lids for frozen juice concentrate (about 65mm IIRC, but it's been a while) and the base for the macross mech is a standard CD. (about 120mm)
Lots more mecha comparison here:
http://chicagoskirmish.blogspot.com/2014/07/robotech-battletech-and-mechwarrior.html
The robogear mecha are really more like oversized sentinels. If you want a walking tank, maybe something like the Macross 1/200 scale monster is more what you're looking for.
not my models (though I do have one in a box that will be built with out the shoulder guns) more about them here:

Sounds better than the giant hands it had in Macross Zero.
Lemme add a little edit here. Some new Mobile Suits for Reconguista in G have been revealed along with a bit of info.
Hecate - Appears to belong to Ameria- which is a new superpower formed from the US and Canada
Jahanam - Another Amerian MS.
Elf Bull - This is a Capital Army transformable MS - Of note, the Capital Territory, where the story is at least going to start out is the location of the Orbital Elevator. The Capital Territory appears to be a combination of Columbia and Venezuela
Elf Brook - Another Capital Army MS
These things ought to yield some interesting model kits if nothing else.

Well, that's the Jahanam confirmed as getting not one, but TWO models. Was it really necessary to make two different kits when the only difference appears to be the head? At the very least, they'd better do the officer one in red. Also, apparently Monster Hunter is getting something funky.... MECHA HUNTERS! This is actually a chogokin action figure. As far as I can tell, this is a Hajime Katoki redesign of the Rathalos armor set from Monster Hunter, done up as a robot. It even transforms! Suddenly, I really want one. Rathalos Hunter is due in Feb. 2015 for 10,000 yen. If I can afford it, I may try and actually get one.

This new design of the R-Jaja for the new Build Fighters line also got revealed.
Sorry for the size. I've always liked the R-Jaja's design. It felt to me like what the Gyan should've been, and this redesign takes it to the next level. Damn, that just looks amazing. This also means we'll probably see the regular Double Zeta version in the HGUC line, too.

Interestingly, I think that R-Gyagya is actually being used by the guy who used the Gyan variants in the first series. It's actualy using the Gyan's swords and shields and the vulcans are mounted on the shoulder binders.

Here is an interesting model. Not strictly applicable for 40K but could be used as scenery in Battlefleet Gothic or other fleet scale space warship games.

In UC alone, there are ones successfully dropped on Australia, Midwest US, Ireland, and Tibet. The results are not pretty.
