Due to not being able to collect material for my tyranid bases I've been working on my cultist. I started working on rust with the new speical effects paint. How do you guys think it looks? How could I improve it?

Would watered down gunmetal from the army painter work? I don't have any leadbelcher. I'm still working on building up my GW paint supply.

I think that looks rpetty good, but I would have thought a few of the edges would have picked up some polishing through handling. Maybe try a light edging of a metallic on some of the more heavily handled bits, i.e. the grips, drum mag, etc.

I agree. It looks good and it would look even better if the rust was a bit more patchy on the weapon to show the parts that are frequently handled.
