This little punk was made in a hurry, using only genestealer arms, a chaos torso, and adrenal glands to hide the fact that I used a chaos torso. I think it looks cool, still WIP, planning to add a head to it. Gonna act as a scout (Hence SPYder.) or as a companion to the hive tyrant, giving him extra sight.
Edit: Now with head!

I like it. It looks suitably Nid-like.
Can't wait to see it painted!

Yeah, didnt have another suitable head, so I went with this. Gonna paint the lines on the "Face" area heavily enough so that you cant see them.
Gonna do the painting as soon as I get a base large enough to hold it.

How about greenstuffing some tentacles to the face or something, so it stops looking like a tau and starts looking like Spydercthulhu instead?

Definitely holding off on painting this guy till I get some green stuff now.

Can you add the tentacles from a ymargl genestealer to the face? One of these over a dead opponent would make a great objective marker.

Sadly I used both Ymargl faces on my genestealers because they looked too awesome not to use. I'll just buy some greenstuff or a genestealer head off ebay.

It's very nice and gribbly but I agree that the Tau head rather ruins it. I'd recommend swapping it for the Ymgarl head or even a Gargoyle one.

It needs 2 more limbs. All Tyranids have 6. Good work though.

I like how you changed the spelling of Spider to Spyder, because it's a spy that also looks kinda like a spider.

Hmm, perhaps pincers on the face instead of tentacles? Maybe cut off some Termagaunts extra set of tiny arms?

It would be cool to add two limbs for six total but not essential IMO.

You might need to putty up the gaps between the different parts. It's hard to tell from the picture. A standard filling putty like Milliput or Tamiya filler would do for that. No need to waste Green Stuff on basic filling jobs.

I love using greenstuff for filling, I use it to fill gaps on pretty much everything but vehicles (where it's nice to be able to sand the filled gap smooth). If you buy the kneadatite brand instead of the GW brand, it's really not that expensive, it's actually cheaper than Tamiya filler over here.

Leave the 4 limbs and go for some decent mandibles instead! I wonder, how complicated the whole chewing apparatus can get before looking strange.

Alright, gonna go to walmart tomorrow to get primer, I'll see if they have any of that there, and I'll get to work on finishing this model up.
