Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

Qo'noS

Hi guys, I'm getting back into the game after a two (ish) year break. I did play some Space Wolves back in 5th, and I'm getting that army back together for 6th.

Is there anything I need to know with regards to SW in 6th? Or else, do you guys have any general tips?

Additionally, are transports still any good? I've heard the vehicles have taken a fair hit in 6th, so I'm wondering if my old assumed wisdom of given everything a Rhino is still hot, or if I should run a more foot based list.

Thanks in advance.

The best advice I can give is to give this article a thorough read, it covers just about everything you need to know:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Space_Wolves_6th_Edition_Tactica

It's worth reading no matter how experienced you are with wolves.

A few general things I'm not sure are mentioned in the article:

- SW are one of the few armies left with no in-codex anti-air capability, so you'll want to throw in an ADL with a Quad-gun or look at allying in IG or SM for some fliers of your own. I'd suggest IG if you want to go that way, they add a lot to Wolves and vice-versa.

- Big Monstrous creatures are a huge part of the meta now. Getting in JOTWW can spell doom for ones such as Tervigons and Riptides, so Rune Priests are a must.

Those are the only major changes I can think of. hope that helps.

True, I forgot about that. It's another option if you don't want to add in a whole allied force.

Not that allying in Vendettas isn't both fluffy and boss.
