Here are some Raptors tactical marines I painted up not too long ago. Not some of my best work, but definitely ready for the tabletop. As always, comments and criticism are more than welcome. Thanks!

These are very nice. I love the red stripe running down the sgt's arm as well as the blood on his chainsword.

The contrasting base work really makes them stand out too.

Had a nosy at your other Raptors models and it looks like it's going to be an impressive looking force.

Thanks mate!

I do the red stripe for a couple of reasons. First, while being a Codex chapter, they are know for their "reckless disregard for the Codes Astartes" and as such, the Raptors never struck me as a chapter that would say, "Hey, I'm a sergeant so let me paint my helmet bright red so everyone can see it." Secondly, I just thought it looks cool.

These are awesome. I love the Raptors chapter. I'm curious how you painted the armor.

"There comes a time when you've got to do the job of a steroid infused, power-armored super soldier with a big gun, without the steroids, power armor, and the super soldier. Thank you! The Raptors are, without a doubt, one of the coolest space marine chapters.

This is my Raptors color recipe:

Armor:
Vallejo Surface Primer Black
Reaper Master Series Olive Shadow (lightly over the whole model, used for the darkest shadows)
RMS Olive Green (technically a highlight but is used as the "base" color)
RMS Worn Olive (highlight for base color)
Vallejo Model Air US Light Grey (extreme highlights; if it's too bright I'll give it a very light coat of RMS Worn Olive to bring brightness down a little)
Edge highlight with RMS Worn Olive
Satin Varnish + black oil wash

Aqulia:
Vallejo Game Color Ghost Grey (base color)
Blue wash
VGC Dead White (highlight)

Eyes:
P3 Heartfire (base color)
VMA Gold Yellow (first highlight)
VMA Yellow (second highlight)
VGC Dead White (dot in the corner)

Weapons:
VMA Black
VMA German Grey (highlight & edge highlight)
P3 Pig Iron (for all the metallic parts)
Black wash for metallic parts
VMA Steel (highlight for metallic parts)
