I've got a list that's currently at 1393 points which I'm building towards an armor necron list revolving around the idea that necron ghost arks can be given 2 weapons from the royal court to use since it's open topped.
The overlords right now are just for getting the royal courts and I've included tachyon arrows because the idea of 2 ghost arks having a single use strength 10 ap 1 shot could be useful in the right situations.
So, I'm wondering what I could do to try and maximise my bang for buck at 1850 points. I've considered swapping out an overlord for a destroyer lord with a wraith wing or taking a few night scythes.
I've also considered taking a c'tan shard with writhing worldscape and swapping a few of the eldritch lances for tremor staves.
Or putting the overlords into CCBs with warscythes.
What do you think?

Overlords in ccbs with scythes are nasty. I usually run one. You could always put the other in a GA with 2 lords (and 5 warriors), all 3 rocking scythes and mss for a nasty counter assault unit in an open topped transport. That's if you want to keep 2 royal courts running for 2 crypteks in other GAs.
Personally I find arrows a point sink.
Wraiths, veiltek/2 stormtek combo, nightscythes and anni barges are your best bang for your buck with maybe scarabs thrown in there too.
Im not a huge fan of destrukteks tbf as stormteks do the job much more efficiently.

CCB's are great and add more AV 11(13) to the army.
Not to mention the sweeping attacks from the scythe lord.
Arks are ok, but you dont really have the warriors there to make full use from them.
Night scythes are far better.
Ranger is on the money with the teks.
storms are alot better by miles.
I'd run something like this:
Overlord: scythe, CCB
Overlord: scythe, CCB
Royal court: 3 stormteks
Royal court: 3 stormteks
10 warriors: Night scythe
10 warriors: Night scythe
10 warriors: Night scythe
Annihilation barge
Annihilation barge
Annihilation barge
That list is pretty evil and its nowhere near you limit, so you can add in more troops if needed or even a wraith unit.
2 stormteks to drop down with each unit and wreck armour.
At higher points though it might be worth dropping barges for doom scythes as the weapons on the doom scythe are far better. (same destructor, but a death ray instead of a cannon)

You get Ghost Arks when you have big twenty warrior bricks with Res Orb Lords attatched to them because you never want to let go of that objective ever. It is easier to eat your way through a wall then it is to try and dislodge a maximum resurrection Warrior brick in good cover.
You'd be better served with Night Scythes, which remain an excellent way to drop in units for a last minute objective grab while still raining down incredibly cost effective Tesla fire from a hard to hit platform that ignores all the downsides to being a flying transport.
You've got the right idea with the CCBs and ABs though. Stormteks are also terrifyingly good at reducing vehicles to scrap metal thanks to spamming gigantic amounts of haywire that can with luck, kill land raiders and Leman Russes in single phases (Wave Serpents sneer at glances though). That is awesome.
The tachyon arrows are something I'd avoid for much of the same reasons I'd avoid hunter killer missiles. A lot of points for a one off attack that may not actually do anything. Overlords should always have scythes, don't even look at any of the other melee options. The Scythe is perhaps one of the best melee weapons in the game, S7 armorbane AP2 that hits before power fists and thunder hammers is amazing.

If you're planning on using long range shooting, AND running an AV-13-esque list, you should consider some Heavy Gauss Cannon Triarch Stalkers.
And while Storm-teks are indeed awesome, I would advise against making a list that has six of them unless you're playing in a very vehicle heavy meta (after all, what if you're facing a MC heavy army with zero vehicles?).
Speaking of which, it might pay to add some more anti-MC/TEQ/MEQ. Yeah, Tesla Destructors are all that and a bag of Orks, but there are more effective ways to take care of certain threats.

That's a really cool list. You should consider one ghost arc and a full squad of Warriors w/ a OverLord w/ Ressurrection Orb. then take two Stormlords w/ a Lighting Field.
Good luck ever removing that unit from a objective with shooting. Also, enjoy assaulting that.
It honestly may be worth the points to take Nemesor , He's kind of expensive though.
A Note on the C'tan -
I find that combo freaking hilarious. Enjoy my army flying around in Barges shooting you with weapons that cause you to move in difficult terrain and test against dangerous.

2 weapons? You could have a ghost ark with 5 warrior sand 5 crypteks for an awesome party boat. Open topped means everyone gets to shoot! Don't forget that The dudes inside shoot one thing, then a flayer array can shoot another, then the other array can snap shot something else.
I generally take 2 arks and a scythe in all my lists. I love ghost arks!

Triarch Stalkers are fantastic. If you don't take one you don't know what you're missing. What they shoot at gives the rest of your army Twin-linked when firing at that and they also provide great cover for your warriors. Your dudes can fire between his legs and still get the nice force field cover save. And Annihilation barges are brutal. As someone who plays against Necrons a lot, those are the two units I fear the most.

I think maybe he meant 5 Lords and 5 Crypteks.
